An attempt at Haiku's each day beginning 2013 |
This is a well-intentioned beginning to what I hope will be a haiku a day, or thereabouts. |
moisture laden fog sinks to a new valley low while fighting the sun |
beehive activity buzzing around the kitchen hope it’s honey soon |
marshmallow message floats high above the mountains cooler days coming |
Night shadows creeping silently serenading canyons now asleep |
sunset gently wakes traffic snakes it's way back home night falls on silence |
finally summer the lack of fog is welcome at least for a day |
Meteor showers Streaking on natures chalkboard Dawn bring erasure |
misty morning deer gracefully bent over to eat delicate grass shoots |
summer shadows fall sun creeping down the mountains seasons change quickly |
rocks in the creek bed miss the sound of water the ground is thirsty |
wings flapping quickly an orange beaked red-tail hawk grasps a fleeting meal |
a mild summer day waiting for a miracle will it come in time? |
crooked sites were set the lake was cocked to the left call us unhappy |
electrical shock missing a lightning bolt jab skies needing some gray |
black bear running fast a little swimming maybe pool is much lower |
a cool breeze sweeps in erasing August heat fall is on it's heels |
tree frog stretches out Oiled bronze twigs hold on tightly cellphone takes a shot |
the paint will not dry moisture laden fog crept in dampening our hopes |
brown and grey swirling tree stands tall, rock arch is built kitchen getting done |
July favors fall grey walls hug in an embrace bring back summertime |
