20 more days... we are heading to Grant Village today on a very outdated school bus since it is over 24 miles. We will be setting up our campsite again, getting our gear unloaded because the bus is leaving us here. We will be here until Tuesday morning when we hike to Lake Village and Bridge Bay campsite and then we will hike to Canyon Village on Wednesday. So all my junk foodies you will be burning those calories.

We will be exploring West Thumb Geyser Basin, photo opportunities during our short hike. We will need volunteers for cooking and clean up. There are flush facilities here but that is it.
Since we haven't been around a campfire for a few days let's talk about food... what is your favorite food cooked on a barbecues or on a camping trips? And see where our conversations go from there.

Let's have another chain campfire story, you each rocked it last week. For those of you that were not here, the first person that blogs after 12:00am WDC time begins the story and each person either summarizes the blogger before them or cuts and pastes it into their blog and then adds their part. The story can go anyway you want.

*Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo*

Princess Megan Rose 22 Years sad that I will clean up and she will cook. Ok, this time but only because I cannot say NO to the older than me. *Bigsmile* I'm glad we're moving around on this trip, looks like we're having awesome time traveling. Who's driving school bus? I guess this is where Princess Megan Rose 22 Years got the idea about Scooby Doo campfire story. Everything turns wrong when Charlie ~ sits behind the steering wheel. *Smirk* I've got my usual car sickness because, before we left Lodge behind, we had BBQ, steaks with roasted vegetables and someone mentioned chocolate cake from the shop for desert. My stomach turned upside-down and now already blended food inside just wanted to come out. *Sick* Alright, alright...I'll stop now! Did someone mention campfire story?? Here we go:

Princess Megan Rose 22 Years :
There is a cemetery called Little Egypt. If you go to the cemetery at night, you walk around the cemetery and a man in old fashioned clothes sits on a gravestone. He says he was hanged as a witch 200 years ago. He is quite handsome. A wolf howls and you and your friends get back in your car and leave. A van that looks like the Scooby Doo Van chases you. You speed up to get away from it. You land in a ditch and the van disappears. You get out of the van and a headless horse man gallops past you and he throws a head at you. It is covered in horse manure. The man who claims he was hung is swinging from a tree near by. You can't get your car out of the ditch and a comet is headed your way!
BlueMoon :
No one told me we were going hiking over all creation. I don't have nearly enough of proper footwear. Momma didn't tell me anything like that when she signed me up for this. This is totally unacceptable. I am besides myself. Not only does this whole thing seem like out of some wacked nightmare, I am not dressed properly to deal with this kind of crisis.
Was that....? That can't be right. Let me see- oh, crap! I just twisted my ankle in a gofer hole. Some lights flash by on the side of the road that look vaguely like the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo. But that can't be. After all, that's only a cartoon. Bright line shines directly over me now... Holy... Man what's a girl have to do to catch a break in this town? Bad enough I'm seeing things, but then getting clobbered like that? I need some aspirin. Just as a start. If I can even make it back to camp now. My leg's going to be shot by the time I drag myself all the way down there again. UGH! What a night. Things can't get much worse than they have been so far? Right? Right?
Dragon is hiding
Why do I hear Shaggy's voice? No, this can't be. Scooby Doo is a CARTOON. Cartoons don't come to life. That's not possible. Is it? I'm pretty sure they don't! At least, until now they didn't. I wake up in a van, and it's moving. Why do these people look exactly like Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred? "Scooby want snacks!" I swear, this is getting more and more bizarre.
Prosperous Snow celebrating :
"Scooby Do where are you?" I hate it when songs get stuck in my head, especially those that remind me of food. I don't know who is sing that song or where it's coming from. The one thing I do know is that I want a Scooby Snack, I mean if Shaggy can eat them then they must be good for humans. True Shaggy is a cartoon human, but he's still a human. Actually Scooby Do acts more like a human being then a dog.
The van is in a ditch and Scooby Do is no where in sight. Doesn't he always pop up when the van is around or Shaggy is in trouble. All right, I'm not Shaggy (well my hair is a bit shaggy, but I need a haircut). Why am I shivering? I know this has to be a dream or rather I think this has to be a dream. I'm wearing pink cowboy boots, my Harley hate, and a lavender dress.
Wasn't there a graveyard across from the van? What happened to the graveyard? Where is that fog coming from? Why do I keep hearing the Scooby Do theme song over and over? What is walking out of the fog? I see something or someone coming towards me and he/she/it is sing the Scooby Doo theme song.
Apondia :
We better get the van out of the ditch because Miss Dragon has been abducted by ??? someone. I'll borrow the horse from the headless guy I think I can still ride after that trail ride we managed. Don't worry about the howling wolf it's probably my dog Char looking for a walk down the trail. Anyway we need to get Dragon back so we can set up camp.
~Minja~
I look around again to see where the others are and the fog was getting thicker and thicker. I almost couldn't see anything. In one moment I felt someone took my hand dragging me forward..or backward, I couldn't notice from all that fog. I just saw someone's hand holding mine while we were running. Fresh breeze blew the fog and I saw who was holding my hand all the time. It was Lyn's a sly fox that stood in front of me but wait..something was wrong. It looked like Lyn at first but then she turned into..into.....that was....aaaaaaaaa  . Suddenly Thriller   started to play instead of Scooby Doo song and I lost my conscience. *Laugh*

Since your guide indulged last night with the boys *Facepalm* and danced till dawn... Today, we are going to go float tubing on the Lewis River. Have you ever done this activity before? What should you do before you get on the tube to protect the river and its inhabitants from the chemicals normally we wear? Do you think there are any risks involved?

Man, the water sure feels refreshing... ~ Aqua ~ I hope you learned a lot, we'll be fishing for our lunch today on the river.
We'll be checking out of Cody Lodge in the morning, if you haven't re-stocked I suggest you do so we don't hit a lodge again for nine days.

*Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo*

When I woke up this the morning my room went vertigo from all dancing movies we tried and from the vitamin shots yesterday. I've got vitamin shock so, in the next few days I wont have any kind of vitamins entering my body. Remind me to not do it again. I came down to the shops to get some aspirin and coffee. I met Princess Megan Rose 22 Years in the shops buying some souvenirs. That's great idea. We went to get coffee together while she was telling me about her blogging crush. *Bigsmile* Float tubing sounds great for today, can we do fishing in Yellowstone? I feel like I can do some fishing today, just for relaxing. I think we should ensure that we have safety stuff in our tube. Forgive me if I'm wrong but that's what I learn at the ship. When it comes about water you never know. I guess like life vest or something. That should be main equipment. And then equipment for fishing (if we can do fishing of course). Other than that I'll just wear my bathing suit and pray to not burn up and to look like a lobster when we come for the dinner. *Laugh*
On the side note; I never did float tubing but I almost did cave tubing in Belize  . I so regret for not doing it but excursion duration is 6h and, as a crew member, I had only 3. hours of free time when we dock there. In Bosnia we have some pretty caves as well, you may visit it but you can't do cave tubing there. The most famous one is Vjetrenica  . She is part of UNESCO organization   and like that is protected eco-attraction. In Bosnia we also have Sutjeska, National park   and other eco-attractions, you may want to move for camping there one day.
Yes, we will be checking Cody Lodge in the morning again but Lyn's a sly fox I think that no one will buy anything just for the reason we want to hit the lodge again in the next week so, that'll be great excuse. *Laugh* We're having such a great time here. I myself feel so comfortable to do camping in a hotel.

Woohoo, it is time to play group games at the lodge. We are having good old fashion pig roast on a spit, there are chickens roasting and vension steaks grilling, lots of salads and vegetables cooked in good old western style over a roaring fire. No worries, we aren't preparing any of the food the lodge is. It is going to be 55 degrees Fahrenheit/ 12 degrees Celsius today, almost a heat wave!

Horse Shoe Competition This is serious business in the west, the pits are ready. There is an non-alcoholic competition and one that requires you drink a shot for each missed shot. This is a non-traditional game especially for us.
Have you played horseshoes before? Competed?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseshoes The link explains how it is done.

Did you know that there is a camping version that does not require lugging the back yard equipment? What do you think was used?
Do you enjoy playing group games? What is your favorite?
We are having a square dance this evening, bring your dancing shoes.... and dozy do, spin your partner ...ANN Counselor, Lesbian & Happy can I get you to call the steps for the youngsters... so they can learn square dancing?

*Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo*

If we have to drink shot for each missed shot on horseshoe competition I'm afraid that I'll get some kind of vitamin shock. I'm not good at horseshoe and I'm not good at shots either. I'm happy 'cause I don't drink alcohol at all.*Bigsmile* No, I never did horseshoe competition because in the place where I live we don't have horses at all so, it's not so common thing. I didn't see alive horse for years so this kind of competition is not even the last thing on my mind. Though when I was at the ship, when we dock in Honduras, we used to play some throw the bag into the hole thing. I forgot how officially you call it. You have a small bags full of sand and then you have made holes in some kind of treated timber or something and from the distance you're trying to throw the bag into the hole. Kind of similar to horseshoe thing and we did it at the beach. I never did drinking shots game because I limit myself with drinking juices during the day. I'm a huge fan of the water. That's my favorite drink. Alcohol I don't drink almost never, only in special occasions I have one or two glasses of White Zinfandel  . White Zinfandel is the most cheapest yet the most greatest wine that you can find in the world. It's sweet, it's colored pink, little bit spicy and perfect for women. When I worked in restaurant I sold so many bottles of it, most of the people like it. Not because it's cheap but it really taste good, with little bit of gouda and swiss cheese on the side, few grapes and you have the best time of your life. *Smile* At the ship this wine costs $28 for the guests and for the crew members is only $8 per bottle. The thing about people and wine is that they really don't know how to enjoy in a good wine. When I used to sell it guests ask me:which one do you recommend? They were thinking I'll go with the most expensive one. I never recommended Dom Perignon   or Vueve Clicquot  . If you want this kind of wine you just say it and buy it. They are not for recommendation. However, different occasions-different wines, I know that women will never make mistake if they order White Zinfandel or Moscato   and men will never make mistake if they order Cabernet Sauvignon   but listen, no matter the prizes, sir, the best wine in the world is your favorite one. That's how I used to sell wines. We had wine packages so it was easier. During the dinner of course you know that white wine goes with fish mostly and white meat while red wines and dry one goes with dark meat, beef.
Ok, enough of wines. I enjoy in playing group games. When we were kids we used to play Spin the bottle of course but as I grow up my favorite ever is Monopoly. I just love to buy and to sell. I play Monopoly so often with my friends now. Of course when I'm at home and very rare while at the ship.
Dancing after all that food and games sounds great but, what kind of dancing? Hey..how about dancing competition?? *Delight* Something like this  . I can imagine Dragon is hiding , writingbyjazzy, ~ Aqua ~ and Charlie ~ dancing like this. We're young enough for this... ok, they are young... I'm not *Bigsmile*.. When I was teen this was my music. Well, I had period of experiencing different kind of music while growing up but this one is something that marked my teen life. All my friends were listening hip hop-electro-drum-bass whatever... I'm child of 90's and I love it. When we used to go to the disco, 'cause disco was totally cool then we danced like this. *Laugh* I know that now this all looks so funny and stupid but we had fun back then. What's your favorite dance instead of Fokstrot, Ballet and Country Dance?

It's 43 degrees Fahrenheit... 6 degrees Celsius this morning...brrrr! The fire went out over night. so breaking up camp this morning won't be hard. We are going to Cody Lodging for the weekend. Yes, hot showers and real beds for two nights. Don't try to talk me into more, it won't work. We are re-stocking supplies, so if you need something now is the time to grab it.
Today, we are going on a horseback adventure... hope you are up to a good ride, we are going exploring the area. Let us know what you discover and what appeals to you here besides the luxury of a comfy bed and a shower.

http://www.yellowstonenationalpark.com/codylodging.htm

Check out the link, it will give you lots of ideas about what to do while there.
Don't get to tired... we have a horse shoe competition on Saturday.

*Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo*

Well, I wish it's THAT chilly this morning in the place where I am now. *Bigsmile* Here it feels like I can cook sunny side up egg on the pavement outside the house. However, I already had breakfast so that deal is off. I was hoping that you will mention hotel because, lets be honest here, no girl can survive 1. month camping in wild without proper shower and nice and comfy bed. I think we should do hotel every week. *Laugh* Please?? Wait a minute... we'll be there two nights?? *Delight*
We're off to horse riding and it is so interesting and funny (like when I tried ice-skating first time *Laugh* you don't wanna see that) because no one ever did it before. Charlie ~ fell from a horse and now we're helping him to the hotel because he almost broke his leg. He is a tough guy, reminds me off someone I knew long ago   *Smile*. This is when I first fell in love. I hope that wont stop him to finish camping with us. Hotel is nice and warm and everyone are glad and grateful to Lyn's a sly fox for making this up for us. After a nice shower we gathered in main lobby and went for a nice dinner where the main meal was smoked duck. I enjoyed, I don't know about you guys. I hardly stood up from the table (I think I eat too much) to have a smoke with Charlie ~ before I will have nice cup of tea with Princess Megan Rose 22 Years . Charlie said that he will never ride a horse again but looking forward for the games planned for tomorrow because he already felt little bit better. Maybe someone can convince him to do rafting with us. Or flyfishing? Or zipplining? Or maybe we'll just enjoy in smelling and watching wild flowers. *Laugh* I bought some tooth paste in the hotel store. That's all I need for now. *Smile* Smoked duck was the best part of the night and all I could do after that is to finally enjoy in a big comfortable bed. There's no better comfort than that; to jump in right after you finish your meal. Now, where's my cuddle buddy?? *Sad*

Oh, no it is raining and only 46 degrees Fahrenheit, it is only 7.77778 Celsius. Brother Nature or 💙 Carly is this how you reflect the differences in temperature from Fahrenheit and Celsius. Try not to touch your tent celling or walls with your hands, it will leak wherever you touch. Laying in your sleeping bag in the rain tell me what other sounds do you hear in the woods around us? Did you notice the skyline before you settled in for the night? What did you notice around us today?
Someone cooked today, what did we have? What takes place when it is raining and you are cooking outside? Do you know what we need to do to adapt? Enlighten us all with your thoughts.
Friday, we are going to have an interesting day, bring your game face...

*Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo*

“You say you love rain, but you use an umbrella to walk under it.
You say you love sun, but you seek shelter when it is shining.
You say you love wind, but when it comes you close your windows.
So that's why I'm scared when you say you love me.” ~Bob Marley

I don't know anyone who enjoys the rain. Do you? Those who enjoy the rain you may find only in 'The Notebook' by Nicholas Sparks or any other romantic stories, books or a movies. Be honest-it sucks. Everything is dirty, slippery, sticky and all you wanna do then is to sit and cry. Right? Some people cry because the rain remind them on someone they lost, it remind them that they didn't cry about it for so long now when sky is opened, pouring his tear drops. Some people cry because the rain ruined today's plans to go to the beach or something. Some people cry because the rain remind them how they will never experience THAT kissing in a rain moment  , not because they don't have rainy season where they're coming from but because they don't have anyone with who they suppose to do it (me). *Rolleyes* Rain does makes me feel sad and now, when it's raining in our camp it makes me sad, too. But there's only one reason why I'm sad today--it's because Dragon is hiding , writingbyjazzy and ~ Aqua ~ , our teens, promised that they will cook for all of us today and apparently sky is on their side, pouring and flooding our camp because it's simply impossible to Set The Fire To The Rain like Adele   (that's what Dragon is hiding said). There's an excuse. *Laugh* I guess we should call Adele   for camping with us.
While lying in my tent I've heard teens laughing satisfied they avoided cooking today but hey, it's only day 6., we still have lot more days to go. No lunch today. Luckily I brought some chocolate chip cookies and crackers from home so we'll survive. Elle - on hiatus suggested to eat row fish that she caught yesterday but I'd rather stick to crackers since I'm not a fan of sushi.
I don't know guys how to set the fire to the rain. I told you, we should've call Adele for camping. She is the only one who can do it.

Have you ever seen a geyser before? What was odd about this attraction? Can you tell us anything about this? Yeah, a little research will not kill you?
Is anyone interested in taking a dip in the mineral springs when we return from our hike today after dinner under the stars? Let's do a sing-a-long? What songs do you recommend for our first sing-a-long together?

*Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo*

I've seen geyser before. On the pictures *Laugh*. Though, one time, while I was traveling from beautiful and hot Australia( job matters ) to even more beautiful and cold Alaska, I was fortunate to have my phone in my pocket and the seat right next to the window so I wouldn't drivel on anyone's shoulder while taking a nap *Laugh* and I took these photos somewhere around Juneau:

Invalid Photo #1041288 Invalid Photo #1041289 Invalid Photo #1041290

There's a lake at the mountain but now when you mentioned geysers I'd like to think that this small thing inside of this lake is geyser since it had a hole in the center. That or it might be a volcano. I don't know if you can see it properly. However, the guy who was sitting right next to me in a plain, his name is Sam Elliot and he lives in Juneau but working in Africa and the countries from down below. His job was something about exploring some rare kinds of spiders and the other, disgusting to me, bugs. I wanted to ask him more about Alaska but he was talking about his job that I found very interesting so, forgive me if this from the pictures isn't geyser or volcano but just ordinary mountain inside of lake cuz I don't really know and Sam didn't tell me. I usually don't talk with people in a plain and, trust me, I've been through so many flights all over the world, including the longest one on Earth(Sydney--Los Angeles) and I never met anyone like Sam. I even have his facebook lol.
I'm interested in taking a dip in mineral springs, that would be refreshing after hiking. When you mentioned geyser, mineral springs and water I couldn't resist but remember when few times on board I used to wash my hair with
Invalid Photo #1041291

Water at the ship is disaster, because they use sea water, only filtrated, and my skin was so dry and my hair as well, especially when I turned into blonde. It started to fall of for that reason so I started to wash it with Crystal Geyser bottled water. This water for the crew members costs $1.25 per bottle and if you take a whole package(6.bottles) it costs $5.50. Yup! For the guests the prize was much much higher of course. They had to pay $3.95 for one bottle if they wanted, but usually everyone just used this filtrated ship's water. Imagine their faces when I used to tell them that I'm washing my hair with bottled water *Shock* *Laugh*. So yeah, I'm for taking a dip in mineral springs!
I wanted to mention Somewhere over the rainbow   as a sing a long because this song stuck in my mind last contract because I saw 50.First Dates   like hundreds of time. The reason for it wasn't coz I really wanted to but coz of this: in every crew cabin we have a TV of course. When I finish my shift around 11p.m every day it is time for relaxing. On the crew TV you have around 20.channels which 10. of them are about the ship that you're sailing on (shows, spa treatments,24h camera from the main pool--like in a Big Brother, and other ship stuff, entertainment and booking your next cruise). 5. channels are not working because of the ship position there's no signal and the rest of the channels are movie channels which one of them shows western, one of them very old movies from 70's and the other is 24h the same movie all over again during a whole month. That's when I first saw 50.First Dates for the first and hundred's last time. *Laugh* And that's the inspiration for our sing a long song.
No, let's not do this one, it gives me some sad but annoying feeling. My suggestion on this one is Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd   even though Alabama is not my home, I never even been there. Yeah!!! Rock 'n' Roll!! \m/

Let’s share campfire stories together. Give us a good one that adds to whom ever posts first. Some of you in 30 day have already done this before, the first person who sees this post begins the story...like the telephone game and the next one adds to it and the next person adds to the first, second and so on. Not word for word but a summation... let's see how creative you can be.

*Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo*

Cheddah
Stars sparkled against an inky black sky. All around tree tops touched the sky as they swayed in the cold night breeze. A campfire crackled in its pit, throwing just enough heat to warm my hands and face. I was there, alone, caught in the oneness and solitude of the night. I was also keeping watch. They said it was out there again. That it could come any time. That this time around it was more brutal than ever before.
Other night sounds pricked the air between the crackles of the fire. I tried to identify each one. I also tried not to scare the bravery out of myself! My camp mates were sleeping. Soundly? Lightly? I'm not sure. But it was me and me alone who would defend our little camp from the dangers "it" brought.
Midnight descended and with it came a haze that rolled softly into the trees and danced on the ground. Temperatures dropped as the hazy fingers touched my face, my hands, my head. I shivered in its silvery sheath.

I looked up...

Dragon is hiding
... and I saw a shooting star falling through the sky. Make a wish my mind said. "I wish I could tell the campers a great ghost story when they wake up- scare them a bit." I murmur. Leaves began to rustle, and I hear a twig snap. My head spins around. "Who's there?" I try to mask my fear, but the tremble is there. The wind picks up even more, and the fire blows out, leaving me in darkness until my eyes can adjust to the lack of light.
"Hello? Who's there?! Seriously, if this is a prank, you're going to be in SO MUCH TROUBLE!" My eyes can now make out the general outline of tents, so I head to the nearest one and rummage through a backpack for a flashlight. "Sorry to whoever owns the bag." I mutter, digging for light. "A-HA!"
Flicking on the torch, I flash it around, especially towards the wooded area. Standing in the light is...

~ Aqua ~
Standing in the light is a pair a feet, small feet, like a child's. I slowly shift the torch upwards so that the light travels from the bottom to the top, exposing black, torn pant with a t-shirt, it was a kid. Just as I moved my torch to see the face, the light turned off.
"Damn batteries!" I hit the torch on my hand trying to make it work magically but it didn't work. I glanced around and saw that the only thing visible was a short, dark figure. Throwing the torch away, I squinted my eyes, trying to adjust my eyes to the darkness but it didn't work. Because the fire blew out and my torch wasn't working, I couldn't see the face, only a silhouette was clear and judging by the figure, it looked like a child, a boy. Gathering up my courage, I managed to get words out of my mouth.
"Hey, boy. Who are you?" I asked, my eyes were adjusting to the darkness, I could see the trees, the scenery behind the silhouette but the odd thing was that the figure was still not clear. The figure was still, just like a statue.
"Are you lost?" I asked and stepped cautiously towards the boy only to step on a twig that created a crushing sound that echoed in the area and gave me adrenaline rush. I was scared. There wasn't a single other sound, pure silence. All I could hear was the sound of my own heart beat and breathing.
My eyes were focused on the boy who still had not moved.
"Are you okay?"
I tried again but instead my echo replied me. When I stepped forward, I saw the boy move his arm and point towards his left. Then the only thing visible to me was two red, blood eyes staring right at me.

Prosperous Snow celebrating
Two hungry blood red eyes star at me. Spiders crawl up my spine and goose bumps dance on my arms. I inhale a deep breath of courage, whisper a prayer, and then attempt to find my voice.
"Who... who are you?" No answer. "What do you want?' I hear a growl, but I don't know where it's coming from. It sounds as if it's all around me. I try to stand up. My knees lock and my legs refuse to move.
The wind shifts or the breeze picks up, I can't tell which. It bring a horrid almost indescribable stench. It smells like a combination burnt microwave popcorn, a dead fish left laying under the summer sun, and unwashed sweat socks shut in a gym locker for twenty years. My gag reflex attempt to retrieve the contents of my stomach. Unfortunately, my stomach is empty so the only results are several minutes of the dry heaves.
I look beside me and notice the unopened jar of honeyed peanut butter, I had brought for a midnight snake. I know I'm in no condition to eat anything at the moment. I find my courage, attempt a weak smile, and pick up t he jar. I open the jar and offer it to the owner of the hungry blood red eyes.
"Take to peanut butter," I say.
A hairy hand reaches out of the darkness of the mist and take the far of peanut butter from my hand. The owner of the red eyes and the hairy hand growls. I look for the boy who was standing next to it, but instead of a child I see...

~Minja~
my doll, Lilly.
How the hell Lilly got in there? I've got Lilly when I was 3. She was my best friend because I didn't have any others. I wasn't even popular at school later on. The only person I talked to was Lilly. We had pretty good time together even my mom didn't like us too much. I remember one time I told my mom how I would like to buy a new clothes for Lilly because the one that she had was all ripped and she started to yell at me how we don't have enough money.
"You can give her your clothes once when she grow up," she said.
I didn't understand why would Lilly grow up if she is just a doll and why would she say something like that. I bet she went nuts after my father died. She had too much things on her mind because we were poor. I've got Lilly for my 3th birthday when father was still around. Now when I have my own family and when I'm thinking about past I understand how she felt. But, I still can't understand why Lilly was standing next to this red eye monster. And how she even got here when 20. years ago I threw her into the garbage behind our house.
I still remember that hot, summer day. My mom was screaming at me when I asked her if there is something to eat in our house.
"When will you stop eating? You're like a monster. Don't you understand that we don't have anymore food in the fridge? And that doll eat as a monster as well. I'm sick of both of you. If only you can disappear.." she shut the door behind her.
I loved my mom, and I still do, because I know she was a great mom before my father passed away. People just loose their selves when loved one are not around anymore. I think she lost sense of surrounding and she thought that it's mine and Lilly's fault that we didn't have anymore money. I started to cry because I loved her. And I loved Lilly as well. I didn't want to loose my only friend but I had to choose between her and mum.
"I'm sorry Lilly, I hope we will meet in some other place, better place where you and me can be together forever. But now, you have to leave. I just want my mum to be happy again, you understand me don't you?"

I swear I could hear cry she produced then. I never heard Lilly crying. That was the saddest sound I ever heard. When I couldn't stand it anymore I took Lilly and threw her in a garbage behind our house.
"Forgive me Lilly. I will never forget you," I cried.
Eventually I forgot about her. That's what grown ups do with the time. But this small creature who was standing there in front of me now brought me back to our poor home and memories started to come up. They were just flashing in a seconds in front of my eyes because I was too young to remember everything.
"Lilly, is that you?" my voice trembled standing there. It couldn't be possible. Lilly is just a doll. But what if someone found her then? What if someone took her out of the garbage when I threw her? What if this monster found her?
My flashlight started to work again and I point it at the dark spot in the wood. I cannot describe you feeling that I've got then. My body started to shake in a fear when I...

It’s our first night together, we are going to cook over an open fire pit. What are good food options for this group activity? Who's cooking? Clean up is important, what should we do to maintain our group safety? Who's got clean up? It's 50 degrees this evening and overnight our low is 41... nippy skippy for August.

We have a practical joker among us....what happens?

*Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo*

Marshmallows. Must be a marshmallows. *Laugh* I can do them but the rest of the cooking I'll leave for Fivesixer. Someohow I think he is the most eligible for this job since we have three teenagers in our group and Dragon is hiding mentioned how she is having an issues with fire. *Laugh* Maybe she could only light it all up for Norb. But you know who always clean up the mess, right? The youngest one. *Pthb* That's when ~ Aqua ~ and writingbyjazzy and Miss Dragon pop in. I'm sure they would do responsible job on this. No sparkles left behind. I remember I was always upset when my family gathered at grandma's house. My sister and I were the only one cleaning and washing the dishes after them 'cause we were the youngest one then. But, I so miss that time even though I hated it. Both my grandmas and grandpas, from mum's and dad's side, are dead and our family don't gather so very often anymore now. It happens in some period of your life. Oh well...
About that joker. You mean like a story teller or something?? *Rolleyes* uuuuuu a campfire or even interactive story? Must be something scary..or funny..or scary-funny? Wait...I have a good one:
I can't move, breathe, speak or hear and it's so dark all the time. If I knew it would be this lonely, I would have been cremated instead. *Laugh* Go on...finish it. And make sure it's funny.
I'll just roll over in my sleeping-bag and watch the stars. Hey, what happened with Charlie ~ ? He didn't go for camping with us? That's just weird.

30DBC-Should you drink the water as is from the stream? Clean your supplies in the lake or stream? Why or Why not? Are there risks?
We are going hiking on Mount Washburn trail today. Does anyone know what it is noted for by some chance? What are you hoping to see? Who did you buddy up with today, remember the buddy system we never wander off or go anywhere alone.
And what are we eating today???? Don't forget to interact with your fellow campers!

I would take bath in some lake or river(which reminded me on the lake scene from Pride&Prejudice with Colin Firth  ) which I think is sexy for that era of course, nowadays to strip off means to take out everything but panties, but to drink water from stream? I'm not pretty sure about it. You know that people long ago used to wash their clothes in stream. But I'm sure there are people who would drink from the stream to prove that it has nothing to do with health. Actually, it happened for real that one mayor of one small city in my country drank from the lake in front of the camera and journalists to prove that the lake is not polluted and that it's great opportunity for tourism that people of the town destroyed long ago.(the lake was popular for tourists from nearby countries until 1998.when suddenly the mayor of the other town decided to make another lake in his town to attract tourists and like that earn money for him and for his town). And he succeeded. They proclaimed that this natural lake is not safe anymore and that it's polluted, people would get some skin disease if they are swimming in it just to attract the tourists to the newly lake they made. Stupid politicians. However, this natural lake is not in function as it used to be before so, the mayor decided to go one step forward and to drink the water from it to prove how it's still normal for people to go back there and invest their money in his city and tourism. No one ever came back. Stupid politicians, again. Here is the mayor drinking water from the lake:

And here is the picture of how the lake looked like before and how it looks now:

I hate to see people don't care about environment. While being at the ship we used to have trainings every once in a while as a reminder what is going to happen if we don't follow maritime low that requires appropriate garbage separation, 'cause we can't discharge everything into the sea. Now, I do garbage separation at home lol. That's insane but I think that if you remind the people so very often about these things they finally start to work on it just randomly. Look at me now. *Bigsmile*
However, on prompt now, we're going to hiking on Mount Washburn, Yellowstone. I'm going with Cinn this time. She was my mentor before so, I decided that she mentor me on this one as well. *Laugh* The only thing I hope we'll see is the flag on the top of the summit where are written these words:Elbert and Alice were here. Kylie and I would have our own flag as well which we will stab into the ground and where it says:so does Kylie and Minya hahahahah *Laugh*. After we stabbed the flag we satisfied took out our tuna sandwiches from our bags and simply enjoyed the view from the top.

Prompt 1.: 30DBC - Why is it important to sleep a minimum of 100 yards (91 meters) from where you hang your food, cook, and eat your food. Should you keep your sleeping gear clean and free of food odor. What about sleeping in the same clothes worn while cooking and eating, is there a risk? Please tell us about your previous camping experiences.

*Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo**Bulletg**Leafo*

Camping experience?? *Laugh**Laugh*What if I tell you that I don't have camping experience? *Facepalm* But I do have experience in writing entries for 30DBC. Remember when we were at Magical ship trip? Well, I was the only one who has been at the ship for real then so, I hope you'll accept me this month at camping. Alright, listen, not that I have never tried to camp 'cause I did, really. You know what happened? It was like this. There's a river in my country that is famous for kayaking and where you can do rafting as well. Maybe you heard about it maybe not, if not check some more informations here about National park-Una  . Well, my girl friends and I thought this one is pretty exciting so we decided to sign up for rafting. The prize for three days was about 150$ per person with everything included, sleep, food and rafting. I never slept under the naked sky, especially in some forest...ok, ok...in green nature and girls thought it will be exciting and something different. On the way to the Una river we met some people who did rafting couple of times and they were telling their previous experience. Oh my...I'm not even fan of BBQ, I mean, I eat meat from BBQ but only in case I didn't prepared it. To be around all that smoke, smell and heat...nope, not my style. My dad do BBQ in our backyard and then he bring meat inside the house where I will set up the table and eat it in the kitchen. And then, this guy in the bus was talking about living nature and how bugs disturb you while you're sleeping. Girls, I said, it's better if we sleep in a hotel there. They all agreed. Well, we slept 1km away from food, I mean from the camp where we suppose to be with the others. Is that a trick question, why we suppose to sleep a minimum 100 yards away from food? I don't know..'cause of wild animals? I don't know. I may be weird but certain smells are for certain situations. For example, of course you'll smell like food when you're cooking, and of course you'll smell fresh when you go to your bed, 'cause you'll take a shower or your linen smells on those conditioners and detergents that you use for washing. I'm like that, I wouldn't go to sleep in the clothes that I use when I'm cooking. I wouldn't use the same clothes the rest of the day either. Different people has different habits. When I was at the ship I used to take a shower three times in a day (every break I had) and then before sleep. Edward told me once I'm not normal. I was like...so? I like to sleep with my hair wet and with lots of body cream (Japanese cherry blossom from Bath&BodyWorks) on my skin 'cause water at the ship is awful and makes my skin dry. I can't without bathing and my cremes, that's why I couldn't experience camping till its fullness. *Laugh*
I remember this movie by Anthony Hopkins also, The Edge  . Here they find their selves in the wild where only him will survive. In one scene his pilot has been bitten by the bear so Anthony said to the other guy to bury the clothes with blood when he gave him first aid. He didn't do it, on the contrary he threw the trouser filled with blood on the tree and the same bear smelled the blood and attacked them again where he finally ate injured guy. That's why I said that thing about wild animals. I know we wont go for camping where we know there are bears or wolfs or other dangerous animals but the smell of a food will still attract some of them. I wouldn't like to be close when some fox(for example) comes to steel the last piece of chicken from the BBQ we did. *Laugh* I'm talking nonsense, right? We're not in survivor we're just camping. (Hey!! This SURVIVOR word gave me the idea about some activity in WDC *Idea* *Bigsmile* I'll just shut up now. But you have to see this The Edge movie. It's awesome. Anthony Hopkins is my favorite actor ever. There's a full movie on youtube if interested. Here's a trailer.
