A Journal to impart knowledge and facts
July 22, 2015

I'm going to start today to record on a daily basis whatever happens to strike my fancy. So, it is a very cool breezy day. I just posted 5 short book reviews to The Monthly Reading Challenge. I'm suppose to put away some winter wood today from the woodpile outside but I'm playing hookey from work to write so starting this blog will get done.

I'm having a daily fight with a flock of English Sparrows that are trying to take over my barn. They are making a terrible mess so they have to go. I have destroyed several nests so far they don't leave but they get out of the barn when I am around. I'm just starting the fight so I guess I don't know how far I have to go to discourage them.

I'm trying not to spread myself to thin on WDC because I find so many things that are interesting here and I am trying to work on a new story. I really enjoy sitting at my desk with a cup of tea and reading blogs on WDC.

. What are some things you have saved up for? What would you save up for if you could?

Lots of things that need to be done that were not done when we first built the house. We have rooms that need finished. I'm saving for a mattress and that won't get done for awhile because the kitten has an appointment to be neutered.

We are insulating the house which did not get insulated in the 80's because, because, because--life needs things. I guess it will always be something. We save up for something regularly.

Onward! See Ya.

"When I sing, trouble can sit right on my shoulder and I don't even notice." - Sarah Vaughan https://www.thoughtco.com/quotes-from-female-musicians-2457227

Wow. I'm always behind from Friday to Sunday. I'll catch the 12th this morning and maybe the 13th later today.

11 songs? Over the years I've used lots of music to accompany life.

As a child, my aunt let me play her series of vinyl called "Rusty in Orchestraville" One of the disks was broken when I inherited the set. Now you can hear the full version on YouTube.
I have a large collection of different types of music and use whatever strikes my mood.
Otis Redding has a spot especially with: "The Dock of the Bay."
Yanni: "In The Mirror"
John Tesh, "Sax by the Fire"
Paul Simon: "Rhythm of the Saints"
Billy Joel: The Stranger

New Age music works for having a calming influence on both me and my creatures:

Enya: "Memories of Trees"
Golden Bowls by Karma Moffett
Guardians of the Galaxy: "Spirit in The sky"
Elephant Revivals 2013 Album:
Lots of Bob Dylan music.
Cantor Music by Rebecca Garfein
Guitar Music by several classical guitar players
Christian Singers singing Praise Music: Bryan and Kate Torwalt/Blue sky Riders/Elvis/
Rock n Roll by a lot of people
A Lot of show Music by Rogers and Hammerstein:
"Picnic"
"the King and I"
"Oklahoma"
John Denver
James Taylor
Enigma
Wailing Wall
There is a lot more--some is to dance through vacuuming and cleaning others are to sing along. Some are sleepy time.
