I agree with Judy. If we just relax we will get through this. Panic kills more people during a crisis than the crisis itself kills. Right now my biggest enemy is boredom. Like everybody this pandemic has me on stand still. I'm bored. I guess I'll find creative ways to keep myself busy. One way I am killing time is that I am the floor leader of my floor here at the West Virginia Veterans Home, a domicile for veterans. We have no housekeeping staff as housekeeping staff are restricted due to the virus. Floor leaders have been stepping up and doing some of the cleaning such as sweeping and mopping. That gives me an hour or so of activity. I have also been practicing my listening skills. I talk with a lot of people on the phone and it gives me the opportunity to minister by actively listening.

I have no idea which entry is my most popular. I've been doing this routinely for about three years. So I have no idea which one is my most popular.

I had a long childhood. I quit growing when I started using drugs at age 15 and in my opinion I didn't grow up until I quit using drugs a little over 11 years ago. It took me a long time to find my calling in life. I was certain I was going to be a peer support specialist and social worker, but that was not God's plan for me. He did not reveal His plan until recently, but He has guided me to pursue a Master of Divinity degree and has it in my heart to be a chaplain.
