An image for a blog that I hope will take root. Prompt: What are you doing to serve Christ?

I am a soldier in the Salvation Army. A soldier is a person who has been saved and decided to dedicate their entire life to Jesus Christ by signing a covenant which guides daily life. The covenant specifically names worldly habits that we must avoid such as alcohol and other drugs, gambling, fornication, pornography, and other such worldly pleasures. A soldier volunteers to become a servant of the Lord and to follow the orders of the officers over them. It is a strict way of life that I love.

I am also a student at Marshall University, where I am completing my Regents Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Psychology. I plan to become a drug abuse counselor and combat the addiction around me while working with various churches.
