a daily journal
Yesterday, I got some unsettling news.

I found out that a long time staff member at work was going into semi-retirement and it was going to be her last day.

I also found out that we lost a job contract.

The company who provided this job decided to go to another company because it offered more money.

I really enjoyed working on this job, now it is gone.

I woke up ill today.

My boyfriend called me early because he's going to see "King Kong" tonight.

There was another terrorist attack, this time in London, England.

Four individuals are confirmed dead, 20 injured.

Okay folks, I'm back after a week of absence.

The dinner last Thursday, (Jan. 24) was wonderful.

They had lasagna, cake and ice cream for dessert.

My fiancé and I didn't go to the movies on Friday, (Jan. 25)

We tried to go on Monday, but a massive snow storm hit the area where we live.

We are going to try again tomorrow night.

On Saturday, though, we went shopping and then to Swiss Chalet for lunch.

Our engagement party is a go.

I managed to get my church's fellowship room for free.

Yesterday, my fiancé and I had a meeting with the party's D.J.s

Now are all caught up.

Tonight, I'm going to a dinner.

Tomorrow, maybe to the movies with my fiancé.

We're going to see Aquaman.

On Saturday, possibly shopping with my fiancé.

On Monday night, I went to Tim Horton's with the fiancé.

Yesterday, I did some grocery shopping.

Today, I woke up late and watch Scottish soccer.

It is Martin Luthur King Day in the U.S.

That means hockey this afternoon.

Yesterday, I went to a unity church service.

It was beautiful and the venue was great.

They used to have the service at the Royal Canadian Legion.

The venue was so big it was like going to a rock concert.

Less intimate.

Also there was no room for fellowship after the service.

The Christian Reform Church is a much better choice by far.

I went to Tim Horton's last night with my fiancé.

Got up early to watch soccer.

My team Chelsea lost 2-0 to Arsenal.

Well, my soccer magazine finally showed up in the mail.

Unfortunately, I can't enjoy it yet because i have a headache.

I had to take a nap in the afternoon.

It snowed last night again.

My fiancé came over last night and brought me a coffee from Tim Horton's.

I watched a pretty entertaining soccer game today.

You'll find out about it in this week's blog, "On The Pitch."

After an eventful weekend, things have calmed down in my life.

I just spent the day so far watching t.v.

I also started a jigsaw puzzle on my tablet.

I had a good time with fiancé this weekend.

We watch t.v. yesterday.

His dad made us hamburgers and his mom made fries last night for dinner.

After dinner, I met my future sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and nephew through video chat.

They all live in Calgary.

It was hard to get used to sleeping with someone last night.

Every time when I tried to get comfortable, I'd forget my fiancé was sleeping beside me and would accidentally nudge him a bit.

The funny part happened when we were re on our our way home.

It was snowing and blowing where we were.

I phoned my sister in the car to tell her we were on our way.

She asked if everything was okay. I said yes, but it was really coming down.

She told me that Acton was sunny with no snow.

I couldn't believe until we got close to home.

She was right.

No snow. Just blue sky.
