Instagram, YouTube? I dunno. I want to write some stories placed in Thailand... maybe a screen play... complete with music in Thai/Lao. I've even sang some to myself (melody/images rather than words). My voice left me long ago but that shouldn't stop me from singing.

I wish... I was looking forward to my high-school reunion... but covid. I no longer live close to where I grew up. None of them live here. I have to rely on new connections.

I didn't connect well as a child. Never quite felt at ease in my skin and I wasn't taught how to get along.

So I've spent a lifetime working on connections. Sometimes it worked! No need to mention the other times.

I continue stumbling on my journey.

I can imagine it would be overwhelming for the senses. I live in quiet and will need to adjust next time I travel. I mostly live in silence and that's not in my forecast.

Yes, I remember jarts. We were careful. I didn't play marbles. I came to dislike Monopoly. Later I learned to dislike Risk.

I prefered card games. I played to win. Of course, I lost as well.

I'd be pissed and demanding to be paid for answering the phone! I worked 11 pm - 7 am. I did NOT works days. I did NOT work evenings. I slept 8-4 and told friends not to call me unless the house was burning down. I literally could not work if I didn't have enough sleep.

Some at that time thought we should have rotating shifts. The night crew adamantly said NO. My opinion? Rotation is an abuse and so are many schedules for police and hospitals. I've worked both. You want a doc or a cop who's worked 16 hours straight to look after you?

New Year New View

Having felt like I have lived within the pages of a Stephen King novel for the last few months, I choose to pull the good from the bad. First, the writing in this 2020 book was definitely intense and kept you on the edge of your seat. I mean come on who could make this s**** up? I have come to truly appreciate the people in my life, not that I didn't before, but the phrase "I've got your back." takes on more meaning than you could ever imagine. Family and friends mean the world to me. And then there are the people I share my work space with and I cannot put into words the way each and everyone of them have lifted me up, kept me from crying, fed me, and humbled me when we celebrated our wins of making it through another night. They are all part of my large extended family. And to the beautiful neighbors, I love and adore that we are so close and vested in each others lives. So I say cheers to all of my loved ones, hoping for a bigger and brighter new year. I will be toasting each and everyone of you with sparkling cider or cranberry juice at the 2C nurses station come midnight.
