He travels the world on the backs of others Insignificant in his stature and size His journey carries no mission Randomly roaming at the will of his host Sated enough to never question his trek Life is an open adventure without worry If the excitement of his dusty trail dulls Another bus awaits to grant passage With a furry friend to carry him home Ah the wonderful life of a flea |
Will soon begin the arduous task of stripping down my portfolio. It feels a bit like tearing apart my soul, but the number of saved items are getting too big. I am sure each of us have done the dirty deed once or twice and find it difficult to sever ties with our favorite writings. I love looking back on stories that I wrote when I first started at WDC to see the change in myself. As a writer I have grown, but even beyond that there are tales written that return me to a different mind frame They tend to evoke feelings that I've left behind, sort of like strolling down memory lane. I will look to the future with my new penned items and save the past on my old computer. I bid farewell to my "old friends" with love, and with a promise to visit often. Each story has been a stepping stone to the person I am today. |
