Hi. Just dropping in and read this blog area a little.

I had that trigger finger happen a few times, then It disappeared. I'm not sure what causes it what makes it go away, but it was painful and scary.

Well Don for me it is a great blessing that we do not know how long we have on the planet. The alternative would be far worse. I agree with you that our lives are a succession of paragraphs and soundbites.

I have a fellow cadet living in Tennessee and he says it is very hot there currently. We are approaching midwinter here.

What I use to love about the high desert is the view looking west while the sun is setting. I, one day, discovered that on a nice day I could sit out there covered by my garage and look across the field toward the western mountains. I had an old winged back chair,plus have a cup of coffee. I'd read til it got too dark. Then I'd watch the sunset. It was always interesting as the sunset creating interesting shadows on the mountain side first and later it became a a silhouette.

The heat during the day was often too hot to do anything outside, my mini truck didn't have air conditioning. We use to each (two of us) have spray bottles to mist ourselves if it got too bad while out and about.

Ah Needles. I've been there. I use to drive to see a nephew. He lived in a little town not too far from Bullhead City. He ran the pizza place. Not sure if it was Dominos it that other popular one. Now he's just north of Kingman in Golden Valley.

Hi I was getting bored in my own blog and decided to find other people's blogs.

I use to live in Hesperia. Am quite familiar with the area and therabouts. I stopped by there about two years ago and was a bit stressed because the traffic was horrible. The shopping was non stop up the main street and they had construction going in besides.

We shopped at the Walmart by the freeway and killed time before going over Cajon Pass. The heat if the day had cooled off.

Hey Bill yes it is good occasionally to cast a glance over the shoulder. For better or worse time marches on steadily and we have to adapt. 100 years ago I would be in a wheelchair pre hip replacements! I am glad you are back posting.

Wondering Where The Days Are Going?

It seems like the days slip by without my sitting down to jot down my thoughts. Can't believe that we are into August already, blink an eye and it will be Fall.

I've had numerous Doctor appointments last month, with two more to come, in August and September. So far I'm firing on all cylinders, and I'm very grateful! I'm now walking 2 miles daily and riding the bike for 30 min.

My youngest son is getting married, for the second time, in Las Vegas at the end of the month. We were concerned with the heat but now they're having an invasion of grasshoppers. I'm hoping that will be cleaned up by the time we get there and all we'll need to worry about is the heat. My wife and I used to be accustomed to the heat when we lived-in Needles, but Apple Valley is somewhat milder. Here's hoping we don't MELT!

Two days after we get back from Las Vegas my wife heads back to Yuma, Az where she will cross the border and go back to the dentist who did her upper dentures and have the bottoms put in. She'll be glad to get it over with.

We've been talking about taking some kind of vacation, besides Vegas, to get away and enjoy the ocean, not sure if it will be San Diego, Oxnard or Santa Barbara. We'll be gone for 3 or 4 days just enough to help us relax. A change of scenery is due and I'm going to look forward to it.
