Discuss your thoughts on this quote.

I feel like this quote is saying that it's important to pay attention to what people say, even if their opinions are negative. Just because things looks bad, doesn't mean they always will be. More often than not, something positive can come of most negative situations.

The best thing so far is the gas money I'm saving not driving to school and work. Even though gas prices are the lowest they've been in years. I've been sitting on my couch for over 3 weeks now. My mind is trying to take control. It's hard not to let it, though.

This song is also from the movie Napoleon Dynamite.

There's just a few things in this life that really set me off, so it's nice to have an outlet where I can express any type of emotion and share it with the world (without getting arrested).

Revised this tale! Tried to make it more real. Give a whirl and tell me if it gave you the "rage feels"

Prompt: How many cups/glasses/mugs/etc do you have at home? Which is your favorite, and why? Tell us about how you got it.

My husband gets upset when we have too many cups, so I try to keep it to a minimum. It's no surprise that most of our cups are either coffee mugs, (which I collect from various places like Death Valley or from the bookstore at the college I attend), and wine glasses. Michael's sells some really awesome seasonal thematic kitchenware! Some people will tell you it's cliche' to use Halloween wine goblets when it's not Halloween, but I don't really care. Like anyone's gonna see it anyways. I prefer a certain elegance when drinking wine, so I gotta have something fancy!

Personally, I like to watch old shows and I'm also a surveyor of adult cartoons. I study lots of different aspects of the show like the story line, characters, plots, joke set-ups. And also I'm a kid at heart, so I prefer cartoons!

Netflix still has the Twilight Zone, which I love watching when I'm trying to conjure up ideas for suspenseful and sci-fi stories.

My favorite National Park so far is Yosemite Park! I loved the atmosphere there! So much cool stuff and the nature aspect was breathtaking! All those giant trees and the view looking out to El Capitan. We rented one of the tents they have available in the Yosemite Village! The scary part about that was all the Bear Awareness! I couldn't sleep at all that night because I thought I kept hearing bears walking around outside! What a sleepless night, that was! *Paw**Mountains*

Prompt: Where is your favorite vacation place? Have you actually been there or is it on your bucket list once all this craziness calms down? What makes it special to you?

My favorite vay-cay spot so far is down at the beach in Ventura! It's not too far, the town isn't too overrun with homeless (though there are a lot), and the beach is nicer. I don't get in the water too much but they really cater to my tourist mentality, because of the souvenirs. Although, Venice is a great place to soothe my taste for trinkets (and crystals)!*Wave1**FlipFlops1*

Prompt: Who's your favorite author? Why? Is it because of the story or the characters involved?

I've always been a fan of Stephen King, though I'm sure that's the favorite of many. I get a sense of the way he generates ideas which is inspiring to me. He get's me to look in places, or make connections, I would never think of on my own. I am always drawn in to the story he tells. The characters he creates are usually unforgettable, but I appreciate the way he paints the picture in my mind; always on the edge of my seat in anticipation for what happens next.

The Future. What is in store? Who knows?

I have hopes that this quarantine will be lifted, however even when it does my school has decided not to have any more in-class sessions for the rest of the semester.

My birthday is coming up, so I could say that my hope for the future is for it not to be too boring!

I also hope the future brings me some sanity and solace, I've been going out of my mind with paranoia!

Prompt: The worst movie you ever did see, and why *Video*

Hands and two thumbs down, the worst movie I ever saw is called "Kung Pow." This movie was the biggest waste of time, energy, and natural resources. I regret the suffering I endured watching this pitiful movie, and I curse the people who made it. Who do I see about getting the time back that I wasted watching that movie?

Aside from the production values, it made absolutely no sense. It was supposed to be a parody of the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," but it was sooo stupid!!! I'd watch Beavis and Butthead any day over that terrible, terrible dreck.

Prompt:Your most excruciatingly embarrassing moment. We’ve all got one...

Oh there's so many to choose from! This is gonna be a good one.
About 15 years ago I joined a band. The band was awesome (I'll add a link to it after this story). The band, plus a couple other roommates lived in the same house, including me. The first couple of weeks I stayed there, I didn't have a room or anything. I was living out of a backpack in the living room.

I should also mention I was the only female living there.

I had to leave for a couple of days, and when I came back I noticed that they had cleaned up the house a bit. It looked really good! We were all sitting around and I jokingly said "Did you find anything of mine?"

The room went silent, and one of my roommates said "Yeah we threw them in the corner."

Looking over to the corner of the room, was a pair of my undies from the military. White cotton briefs that read WEBER in stencil on the butt (it was required to label your things in basic training.)

Sadly, they were not clean.

Anyways, here's a video to get that image out of your head, but you get to meet a couple of my roommates from back then in the process. Enjoy

Prompt: Write about Cabin Fever.

Well, first of all this would all be over if people would stop trying to be rebellious by not following the guidelines for social distancing. Now it just feels like house arrest, I guess I should put in for my ankle bracelet. I miss going to the gym, and school. I do have one thing to be grateful for, which is that my husband's job is considered essential, so at least he's out of my hair. He'd be driving me crazy, otherwise. I do enjoy alone time.

I love the smell of a room full of new tires. It reminds me of going to Autozone with my dad and grandpa so many times. "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise
Prompt: What color evokes strong memories for you?

Back when I was in the military, something like 15 years ago, I was a major tomboy. I liked to belch and fart and spit loudly in front of people. Where I'm from , most guys find that sort of thing impressive and respected it. Also, it was pretty funny, and I could really belt the burps.

One day, we were doing some exercises in the field. I, acting like myself as usual, let out the greatest noise from my mouth. It was a prize-winning burp, I tells ya.

You could hear someone in the background say "daaaammmnnn." I had a cheese eating grin on my face.

Then, this guy who I happened to think was pretty cute, gave me the most disgusting look I'd ever seen. He even said to me, "Weber, that was disgusting. Not only that but not classy in the least and outright nasty."

I suppose his words broke my heart a bit. It wasn't like I was trying to woo the guy, but the fact that I had small eyes for him made me realize that, perhaps where I'm from that type of behavior is expected, but when you're mixed in with people from other states, you learn a thing or two about adapting to cultures.

After that I contemplated my overall attitude and tastes and all the things I liked that revolved around that type of tomboy mentality: boyish clothes, lack of makeup, etc.

Needless to say my favorite color after that became Pink!!!

Just feeling remorse about some choices I had to make. It's hard to tell what direction I'm walking in.

I get myself in too deep, and I can't handle it. I want to run away, forever, especially if I'm trying to avoid rejection. Sometimes that involves leaving people high and dry, asking why?

It's hard for me to trust anything or anyone, so I stay distant. That way I didn't get close enough to get burned.

Singed, maybe.

But that doesn't leave a scar.

I've written more than I ever have in the last two weeks, thanks to WDC! I would welcome reviews on any one of them, since most of them are fresh out of the oven and still have that new story smell!

Prompt: The most difficult decision you’ve ever made. Write from the heart.

The most difficult decision I ever made was leaving the hospital room as my grandpa was dying. I don't know what the normal human tradition is when it comes to losing loved ones, he was pretty much the first one for me.

He was hanging on by a thread, they asked him if he was ready to go and he nodded. It was some kind of injection they gave him, that slows your heart until it stops completely.

I just couldn't sit there and watch him die. I watched them inject the serum into his IV and I had to leave. I guess I didn't understand why everyone would want to see that.
But I do understand that perhaps that is the best way to go, surrounded by love.

Hence the video I posted, today.

We want just to be loved.

Blog City Prompt: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Personally, I never thought this was a fair question, even when they asked us this question in elementary school!

My life doesn't allow me to make plans, which is why it's so hard to plan for the future. Also, I don't really think I'll ever grow up!

It never fails, any time I try to set goals, something always intervenes and I either get derailed or sent down another pathway. When I was a youngling, I couldn't answer this question and I don't think I will ever be able to! I don't think it's fair to limit myself.

So how do I plan for the future, at all?

Small attainable goals coupled with honing many skills.
I have several trades I'm good at so I practice them all! However, most of these trades do have something in common: artistic ability and a creative mind! I've always had that on my side, but the only problem is that it's almost impossible to make a career out of being an artist.

HOWEVER: I am currently going to school to be a Sign Language Interpreter. My parents are Deaf and I was raised in a Deaf household, so it just seemed like a natural move for me! I'm not sure why it took me so long to make that decision, it probably has something to do with making money off of Deaf people, like they're a cash cow or something. Interpreters only exist because the Deaf community struggles with access to information. To me, it's my native language and should be respected as such.

Here is a link to something I'd ultimately love to do with my life
