Oy! Gotta stay awake. Coffee's a brewing as I type! [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] I'm leaving heaven (you know what? Maybe if I had had you) Angels won't find me (I wouldn't have went through half the shit I went through, so I blame you) Where are you going? (Or maybe I should say, "Thank you") ('Cause I wouldn't have been me) Chibithulu (Alyssa) not sure if you listen to rap; but regardless, this is the song I was talking about and the specific lyric. ___________________________ "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum" Prompt: What was your childhood like? Did you grow up around books or was literature something you discovered on your own? I'm not one to bring people down by talking about my childhood. Also, I grew up in a deaf household, and for those who don't know, many deaf people don't understand English, which means reading was beyond them besides what they needed to read to get by, i.e. drivers license manuals, job applications, typical road signs, etc. My love for writing showed it's face my sophomore year of high school when I wrote a poem that really impressed my English teacher. After that, I still didn't spend much time reading or writing. It wasn't until I became an adult that I started to appreciate reading. Started off with Stephen King books, but then as I kept reading, I couldn't stop thinking about the stories in my mind that I had to tell, and that led to a passion to write. I owe my ability to write to the fact that I repeated at least 3 English classes in high school. ___________________________ ________ |
I appreciate everyone who stopped by my port yesterday to wish me a Happy Birthday! It may have been boring, but at least it was filled with friendship!!! Thanks again, to all of you!!!! Thanks to Bubblegum Jones for this beautiful participation badge! Thanks to Cubby~Cheering House Florent! for this great birthday badge! It is much appreciated!!! [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] This was my absolute favorite song to drive to at work. I used to test high speed cars (until I got laid off last week); I would time the test just right so that I'd hit 110mph right as the cop sirens came in and honk the horn in sync with the music. Made it feel like I was in a high speed chase. I miss that soooo much. _______________ "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum" Prompt: Write about either a figurative mountain or a literal mountain. Mountains are one of the reasons I love living in California. I'm from one of the flattest parts of America, so when I look out at the landscape and see that I'm surrounded by mountains it's truly breathtaking. I like to think about the way that mountains are formed: huge forces of Earths crust mashing together and just following the course of physics, floating on a massive river or magma with nothing to inhibit or stop it from doing whatever it wants and destroying everything in its path. Gotta love mother nature and those glorious mountains. _______________ "Blog City Prompt Forum" Prompt: Use these random words: marine, damn, chauvinist, crew, sulfur, unfix, and edition in your post today. Most of you don't know it, but I'm Prior Service Army. I had thought about being a Marine, but after my AIT (job training), I learned that most of that branch is nothing but a lot of damn chauvinist men with nothing but words that are like sulfur towards the other branches. I always thought we were on the same team, but if you're in the Army (especially in uniform) it's a battle between the crews, and once the fight is on, it becomes another edition of "The Penis Envy Review." The sad part is that once it starts, there's no way to unfix it. Tsk tsk. For shame. _______________ "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" Prompt: Dig Deep. Share your best, most profound uplifting words of wisdom for those who have become disheartened and down. I'm one of those people. I don't know if I'm entering a midlife crisis or if I'm just not happy with my life but I feel like I'm in dire need of change. Perhaps I can try to uplift myself today in reminding myself that I'm in control of my own destiny, and I've always said that if you're not happy, it's time to do something different. The only problem is, the choice I need to make would change my life in a big way and I'm not sure I'm ready for that either. So, I can either keep digging this hole that may end up being my grave or I can start building some steps to walk out of it. Either way, it's going to require some sacrifices. _______________ ______ |

_______________ Thanks to Cubby~Cheering House Florent! for this awesome badge!!! _______________ "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum" Prompt: Selfie — tell us what you love about yourself. This is kind of a difficult prompt because I don't like to brag about myself. I suppose you could say that I love my imagination. It runs like a herd of wild horses and I try not to limit myself to one particular style. I might even write something erotic, some good ol' smut. _______________ "Blog City Prompt Forum" Prompt: What were your three favorite children’s books when you were a kid? Since my parent are deaf, there wasn't much reading going on in my house. The foster homes I lived in may have read to me but unfortunately I don't remember any of it. There were so many other things that worried me, such as having to talk to counselors and going to the court house. _______________ "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" Prompt:Staying at Home: Merit Mail Pick one and write a letter (or note) to your: mail carrier, delivery person, local first line (emt, fire, police, hospital staff) Dear hospital staff, People don't realize how hard your job really is, whether you're a doctor or a nurse, or just the janitor. I'm the squeamish type, so the fact that you can be around all those bodily fluids and smells is a testament to how much dedication a career like that takes to endure! Thank you so much for your service, especially in these hard times. I've always considered you all to be angels, considering how many times I've ended up in the ER. Keep up the excellent work, we'd all be lost without you and your hard work! _______________ ______ |
I'm so pissed I can't even think straight. My stress level is off the chart. When I get this stressed my stomach just will not unknot. I can't handle the pain, and someone stole my husband's dirt bike today. We live in a pretty remote area, so the fact that they came out all this way says they've probably been scoping the place. I can't help but feel like I'm being watched all the time now. [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] Might be time to take the law into my own hands... __________________ On a positive note, I have SB Musing to thank for this awesome badge! Thank you so much for nominating me!!! __________________ "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum" Prompt: With all that is going on.share with us your favorite hobby? Give us your expert advice to get started so we can try it! I make so many things it's not even funny! I'm not sure that I know anything so in depth I could explain at a professional level. Really, I'm no expert. If anything, I'm a jack of all trades but a master of none. Here's some tips on candle making- 1. Soy wax is great, but for a good scent throw it's best to mix it with paraffin wax, since it burns hotter, it will burn the oil in the wax hotter. 2. Don't let the wax get past 185 degrees, however some waxes may require less heat. 3.The scent oil should be added when the wax gets to the max temp, since it has to bind. Not too much, though. I will overwhelm the wax and it won't burn right. 4. Jars are best as well as zinc-core wicks. (Don't want no limp wicks!) __________________ "Blog City Prompt Forum" Prompt: Eat. Love. Pray. Use these words in your Blog entry today. With the mood I'm in, it's really hard not to turn this positive into a negative. So, I'll do both. With all this stress, It's hard to eat, and I pray that love will see me through To the thief who's watching Pray to whoever, but You'll get no love when I make you eat poo __________________ ______ |

If you were writing a song lyric to show your strength what would it be? Though locked inside a gilded cage Iron bars secure my rage, And with my moxy fully bred I'll fight until the day I'm dead __________________ "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum" Prompt: Almost everyone is wearing some type of mask when they go out in public. Hove you seen any of the homemade masks? Have you seen any unusual or interesting masks? Describe them. I have seen people use various items as masks, like bandanas and neck warmers. I actually thought my own homemade mask is pretty awesome since I sewed this cool skull-and-cross-bones patch to a bandana, and also have a pair of similar looking ones I wrap around my boots so everything matches. __________________ "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" Prompt: Staying at Home: Storytime Which items in your home have a story of how they came to be there. I was doing the laundry one day and I noticed a couple of lonely socks so I wrote this:
If you think about it, everything in the house has a story. Even if you just bought it or somebody gave it to you.... For example, our tv is the oldest electronic in the house, and even though the technology on it is outdated, it's still worth keeping around because it has 3D capabilities, and we got a sweet deal on it since we bought it on Black Friday. It's like a member of the family, now! __________________ ______ |

Yay 100 comments!! Have a great Easter, Everyone!! ______ ___ ____________ |
Now that I've alleviated some of that pesky homework... It's not that I mind the work load, it's all the time I spend staring blankly at my computer. When it's work and not play, my mind always wanders away. I plan on gaming most of the day!! (And maybe getting some writing done) Here's a throwback!!! [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] Wrote this today:
____ ____ ____ ____ "Blog City Prompt Forum" Prompt: Easter is typically a church service and family gathering, maybe for some Easter Egg Hunts. Unfortunately, we are having to re-think our activities. I've heard some folks say they're scheduling make up days at a later point. What about you? How are you handling this holiday? It's not really Easter I'm worried about. My birthday is next Saturday, and it's gonna either gonna be super boring or super depressing. I haven't celebrated Easter in many years, but I remember doing stuff as a kid like making colored eggs and hunting for them. But this day and age is so depressing, it's hard to put positive energy into that sort of thing. Just this morning I heard on the News that someone dressed as the Easter Bunny was involved in an altercation on a highway and held at gunpoint by some maniac. Just for playing the Easter bunny... This kind of event tells me that people are just getting crazier, especially when it comes to religious holidays, and the depression that comes along with this pandemic... ____ ____ ____ ____ "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum" Prompt: Use the following words in your blog entry: tea, educate, flat, cap, allow, quirky, pipe, and deceive. If you're looking for a place to purchase exquisite tea, allow me to educate you on a quirky little website called "The Tea Spot!" They have samples available for a flat rate and they always send free samples with your order. Don't be deceived by websites who only sell their product in bulk or put a cap on the amount you can buy. Do what you can to combat the Virus and pipe some hot, delicious tea down into your tum-tum! https://www.theteaspot.com/ ____ ____ ____ ____ "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" Prompt: How are you finding community in these locked-down days? I'm not really a community person. The further away I am from the general populous the better. I have my husband with me and that's the best community I could ask for. If anything, I can associate with the online gaming community!! At least it's interactive!! ____ ____ ____ ____ ________ |
Better late than never [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] Live on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. Not too bad for it's era! ____________ "Blog City Prompt Forum" Prompt: Write about the word believe in your Blog entry today. I believe that I can catch up on the massive amounts of homework I neglected over spring break. I believe that I can still keep up with my writing projects, so long as it doesn't affect my homework time. Who am I kidding, I should be doing it right now. ____________ "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum" Prompt: Have you looked into your family history? Tell us about one of your ancestors. I have looked into some of my family history, but its nothing out of the ordinary. Some of it is a grey area seeing as how I don't know my mom or her side of the family, and there was a lot of illicit sex going on on that side. So, I'm happy to be the genetic mutt that I am!! ____________ Luckie 🍀 |
