An Alien's Blog

I like to think I'm an alien. Because I am one messed up and weird human if I'm human.

Yes I know I'm not an actual alien (I think), I just like to think of myself as one. This is a blog about me, my life, and, well, yeah that's pretty much it.

Put my blog as a favorite of yours to keep up, because I have no clue how often I'm going to be updating this. Life's pretty busy for me, but I wanted to do this as a sort of therapy for me, and a way to reach out to people in case something I say could give them hope or help with what they're going through.

I've been through a lot of crap. Especially for a teenager. I hope you never have to go through the things I have, and if you have, well everything's going to be okay. It will get better. I know it's hard to believe, hell, I find it hard to believe, but it's 97% sure it's true. (the 3% is where we die a horrible death.)

I can get a bit morbid, and depressing at times but other times I'm just going on rants or telling you a hilarious random story that's happened and I think you might get a kick out of it. Hope you enjoy or don't enjoy, I could care less, I just find it funny that you're going to read it if you hate what I'm writing, just to tell me you hate it, lol. Feel free to comment or message me about anything I post.

Yeah, you have genuine reason to believe in the supernatural. I’ve had experiences with that, though not as noteworthy as yours. Whatever you’ve described sounds malicious.

That being said, it's possible getting a job isn't important... maybe they'll let you pay in gift points (lol). I hope you feel at home in your shed with your furniture and Johnny the clock.

Fears. Well:

1. Failure.
2. Embarrassing my husband and kids.
3.Uselessness.
4.Becoming obsolete.
5. Being stupid.
6. Being trapped.
7. Being physically near large animals, like horses or elk.
8. Not being good enough.
9. Drowning. I rarely swim, and never alone, but there’s always a tinge of anxiety.
10. Betrayal.
11. Abandonment.
12. I also get afraid when people pack, even if it’s for a picnic or a hike. I don’t like packing for myself either.
13. Not being liked.
14. Being laughed at.

There’s probably more. I’m just glad I’m not a Divergent.

3. people I don't know
4. people who know me, but don't really know me
5. people who laugh at me
6. heights
7. small dark confining caves
8. anyone in a position of power/authority over me (cashiers, bureaucrats, taxi drivers, co-workers, gatekeepers)
9. people with no empathy
10. large crowds
11. small crowds
12. did I say crowds?
13. people who knock on my door
14. neighbors
15. being wrong - oh how I hate being wrong
16. people who judge me because I didn't think first
17. people who judge me
18. loud people at 2 am on a Friday night/Saturday morning outside my house

Being on the other side of a few decades, I have dealt with most of these. They are still there, but my coping mechanisms are (barely) sufficient to get past. I will say this, there is light at the end of the tunnel, but you won't know it until you clear that tunnel. Getting through the tunnel is an act of personal faith. Wherever you get that faith is fine. Faith in myself helps me (I am really really stubborn and everybody else is always wrong

), but it isn't always enough. Sometimes a kind word of acceptance and validation from someone helps.

You have worth. Tired, old, trite words. But surprisingly effect. A pity more people don't use them.

I could regale you with how I dealt with each point, but it frustrates me when somebody tells me how easy it is to cope. "We all do it", they say. But that's the problem; I am not like them, so whatever works for them in their normal lives, may not work all that well for me.

If you want to know what works for me, what my understanding is, what answers I have found, I'm cool.

I'll be happy to list mine, we share a lot in common.
These aren't in order or anything...

1) Heights
2) Clowns (Same story as you, except I wasn't stalked, thank goodness)
3) Failure
4) Cars passing my yard slowly when I'm on my porch (It creeps me tf out, it's always some van or pickup truck)
5) Social Situations that I've never been in (Quarantine kind of mutes this one)
6) When my Grandma calls my Mom during dinner (We lost 2 relatives in 2018, my Grandma called both times because they don't live near us)
7) Losing people, whether emotionally or physically.
8) Being alone, even at home sometimes.
9) The Basement of my house at night (I'm practically a 4 year old, I don't like the dark)
10) The News (well not really, but the stuff that's been on the news lately.)
11) Big dogs that I don't know.
12) People being very verbal about their opinions of me, especially if they're bad.

I really hope this helps you in some way, but even if it doesn't I'm kind of glad I listed them out. It just might help me.

First. I hear you. I get it.

I won't give you the obvious answer - I would be a hypocrite if I said, "get a job". Your first retort would be, "Do you have one?" and all you would get from me is silence.

So. Writing? I know. Long process; can't wait that long. It is in my plan-book, but I can afford to take my time. GoFundMe? Kickstarter? Do they even allow that?? Something with etsy.com?

Maybe look for support groups that will sponsor the move? I don't need to know your reasons, but if you know of any support groups for whatever the reason is, this might be an option?

Not much help, am I? But it is what I got.
