[Introduction]
Chapter 1
The rat that spoke

Blair Oliver woke one morning to the sound of her alarm clock, she dreaded the sound of it,because it told her it was time for yet another gloomy day at school.
She got up,and brushed out her long brown curls, then walked down stairs to the smell of porridge, which was given to her as she sat down.
Thunder boomed, and lightening flickered outside, "Well atleast its raining" she said groggily.
Rory, her 16 year old brother, had just come down stairs, fully dressed in his school uniform, with his prefect badge pinned on.His dark hair combed side ways, and his bright blue eye's flashing with exitement.
"Morning" he said happily."Wot you so happy bout?" said Blair with a mouth full of porridge.Rory glared at her "Dont tell me you forgot?" Blair looked confused."Its election day,you know? The day they pick head boy,and Im sure I'll get it" He said matter-of-factly,brushing off a strand of hair that had fallen on his badge."Oh yeah, also known as the day everyone ignors Blair" She said glaring. "Alright you two, finnish your breakfast, and go put your uniform on Blair" Said there mother, trying to change the subject.Blair finnished, and ran upstairs.
"Blair!" Shouted her brother from downstairs "You nearly ready?"
"Yeah!" She shouted, shutting her bedroom door, while putting her coat on.
Rory and Blair said goodbye to there parents, and left the house with there umbrella's clutched tightly in there hands.
"Sorry Blair" said Rory "But I have to run ahead, gotta get there early"
"Ok,it doesnt bother me" she said in a why-would-I-care tone.
"Alright, well bye" said Rory slightly anoyed.
After 10 minutes,Rory had disapeared in the wall of rain, that was pelting horizontally from the strong wind. There was a large ice cold gush of wind, and the umbrella was blown out of Blairs hand. "No!" She screamed chasing after it,but it was blown way into the air."Aaaagh!" She grunted, and kicked a stone furiosly. She was now soaked, and her brown curls were now dead straight and dangling infront of her deap green eye's.
"Need a lift?" said a friendly voice from behind her.
She turned around to see a dark haired boy with hazel eye's,smiling.
"In what?" said Blair starting to laugh, since the boy was standing in the rain, just as wet as her. "Oh yeah, true" He said slightly embarrest. "Im alright anyway" She said.
"Ok,well I also better be off" "Yeah,well...see ya" she said turning around, then it hit her that she didnt know if she would see the boy again. She turn quikly to ask which school he went to,but he was gone.
She arrived at school shortly before the bell rang, and it was her misfortune to run into Alannah Wolfgang, while getting her books from her locker. Alannah,a tall blonde haired, blue eye'd girl, who (since first grade) always found a way to embarres Blair, and on this particular day,she knew that Alannah would find many reasons."Fall in a lake, did you?" Smirked Alannah, who was dry,and comfortable. Her friend Bailey Jay,was laughing so hard,Blair could have sworn, she heard her snort."Wow Alannah" said Blair "I didnt realise you were so blind,to not have seen the rain pouring outside...or even notice, that your so-called best friend is a pig.." she said with a fake look of consern on her face. Alannah looked grim, her eye's darted imediatly at Blairs hair."Well atleast your hair isnt that usual mess, you should play in the rain more often"Alannah said,as she turned around, with Bailey following.
"Aaaaarg! Im sick of her!" said Blair, slamming her locker shut,to see that same boy,she met on the way to school."Yeah, she seem's like a real nut don' she?" said the boy. "Oh...hi" Blair said slightly startled, and feeling stupid she didnt recognise his school uniform. "Im Seamus,Seamus Drew" "Blair Oliver" she said,"Nice to meet you again" He said with a grin "Yeah, seem's like you dried off fast?" She said glancing at his well dried dark hair, but just before he could answere, the bell rang."Oh,what class are you in?" said Blair, assuming he was her age.Seamus looked at a peice of paper."Mrs.Aeary" "Oh,then your in my class" Said Blair smiling slightly. They walked quickly to class,as Mrs.Aeary wasnt the most resonable teacher, and would give them detention for even being two minutes late.Luckely, she wasnt there yet,so they quickly took there seats.Blair always sat way at the back, and Seamus was two seats ahead of her.Minutes later,Mrs.Aeary arrived. Her short blonde hair spiking at all ends, her deap brown eye's slightly frustrated."Morning class" She said in her usual hurried tone. "Morning Ms.Aeary" Chimed the class, all calling her 'Ms',ever since she told them she wasnt so fond of her husband."We have a new student, come up here please Drew" Seamus got up,looking embarrest, and slowely walked to the front of the class.Blair found it rather funny, how tense he was.
