a little twist
[Introduction]
Every town has an urban legend. A scary story that creeps the children out, a story that gets passed down from generation to generation.
In our town, they say that on Halloween the spirits of four teenagers who died on that night can be seen walking around the old abandoned hotel.
The Hotel shut down years ago and it's never been used since.
I never really believed the stories but I have to admit, I was interested to see if the rumors were true or not.
I always love Halloween it's actually my favorite time of year, all the kids dressed up as their favorite superheroes or the girls as their favorite princesses.
My best friend Amy is really into Halloween, even more, than I am, she genuinely believes in all things paranormal ghosts, vampires werewolves if you ask me she watches too much NetFlix. she loves it all.
We all decided to go to the hotel on Halloween night to see if we could see anything.
We all had a few drinks at the bonfire and we were all quite giddy, the boys kept trying to scare the girls by telling silly stories trying to freak us out but it wasn't working.
We made our way towards the hotel at about 11.30, we had to climb the gates and we all had to put on our scary masks in case any of the cameras at the gate were still working.
We knew that the 4 teens had passed away in the hotel a silly prank that sadly ended up with the 4 losing their lives in a fire.
‘Rumour has it that on this night the 4 of them can be heard crying and trying to get out of the hotel said Amy quite matter of factly.
‘Yea right said mark and joey just laughed.
‘Well, what do you think?is it scary enough for you? I asked them all trying my best to not sound scared
’’ Bang’’
We heard a loud bang but we only had the torches on our phones and the place was huge.
I know the others were scared even the boys we all huddled together to feel safer, it was the fear of the unknown.
Mark and joey liked to record everything on their phones, so they were both taking turns holding the camera stick while the other focused the light from the torch.
We walked on and found a set of stairs Amy said let us go up there
so we all just followed her none of us wanting to be left alone.
We walked down a long corridor and most of the rooms had nothing in them, some had beds some didn't, we kept walking when we heard the Bang again,
‘Sounds like it came from in there amy said as she stopped beside a room with the door shut,
Mark turned his camera on and gave the door a kick and
he told Joey to have the light ready in case there was anything to see,
The room was empty but the window was open causing the door to keep banging shut.
‘Ok this is getting kind of silly maybe we should just go home I said trying so hard to convince them ‘no shrieked Amy ‘you know how long iv waited for this night claire come on stay a bit longer please just for me,’ ok ok I said.’
A bit more time passed and we just kept walking around the old hotel and that's when I saw it. I couldn't believe my eyes, it was a picture of us 4
It was a missing poster with us 4 on it,
I showed the others and they were shocked as much as me.
We walked around some more and all decided to go home, that's when things got even freakier/
We could not leave the hotel we tried and tried but we could not leave. we were trapped it was so strange.
We could hear voices so we walked back to find who was there
We found 4 teenagers sitting around doing a Quigi board but they couldn't see us 4.
When they said'' Claire Amy Mark and Joey ''who died here on Halloween night
if you here give us a sign, I screamed but they couldn't see us they couldn't hear u

We were the 4 that had died that night.
