I think I'm in a dream myself because I cannot honestly remember how I came across this forum. Nonetheless, as Nance already knows, I'm smitten with anything you write, this poem included.

Just within my grasp are they;
Too short my stretching arm.
As I taste of vict'ries spoils
Off goes my alarm.

I can relate. Too soon a dream is interrupted by the blaring signal of the alarm!
