Bridges
Steel and massive
Unyielding to the wind
Pay homage to the three rivers

Buildings
Faces of glass
Casting shadows black
Towering over the pavement
Below

Urchin
Under the bridge
Lost amongst the shadow
Smells of the city’s underside
Unseen

Traffic
Bustling feet
This way, that way, stand still!
Car horns, boat horns, train whistles too
Please stop!

My home
Bridges, buildings,
Street urchins and vendors
Hot pavement, gridlock, and football
Pittsburgh
