Splendor of life

Sitting by the fireplace,
Family & friends to share
Reminiscing the past time old
Happy childhood at tiny little place
Modest lifestyle, not much to spare
‘Take care first, than worry’ dad’s words

Left the home for a career growth
Living made stable, as prospect grew
As the goals reached, flashback now
Busy life, nonstop dancing to the beat
Following the protocols old or new
Prestige, fame, wealth a ladder flow
Passing things give transient joy, now I know.

Past is gone for ever,
Leaving the memories to last
Renewed nature as seasons change
Live in now, enjoy whatever
You have, not to worry what not;
Future will be there rising new age

When I am alone by myself
Reviewing life present and past
Followed dad’s words, taking care
Helping others will help your self
Childhood marks the mind and spirit
Reflections of thoughts to adhere
So splendor of adult life nurtured at early age.
