My name is Saundra and my husband suffers from Degenerative Disc Disease.
Many people scuff because he doesn't work.
Many people judge him that don't even know him.
The truth is my husband worked for 16 years.
He became disabled in 2000, he quit working because he could no longer hardly walk.
He has four discs in his back that have deterioted away.
Surgery will not help him, there is nothing that the doctors can do.
But to me he is so inspiring, he gets up everyday with a postive attitude.
He starts his day even if he doesn't feel like it.
He is in contant pain but rarely complains.
Basically it aggravites the daylights out of me when people tell him it must be nice to stay at home and not have to work.
The man would be out there everyday if his health would permit it.
People who have not suffered this type of condition have no way of understanding what a person goes through.
I just want people to be more sensititve, I don't want them to feel sorry for him that is the last thing he wants.
I just want them to more considerate of people and think before they speak.
Anthony is an inspiration even though his pain is chronic he still is full of life.
He has become very limited in what he can do.
But he gives it all he has to me that counts for alot.
He never gives up, he says God can give him a miracle and I know God can.
So to me his spirits soars even though he must deal with limations everyday.
