After looking over these posts, and some on-line research, this is how I would define Pulp Fiction.

Pulp Fiction is not a genre in itself, but a style of writing fiction. It employees less sophisticated plots and story lines that are sensationalistic or gory. The main characters tend to be unrealistic or unlikely heroes. This may also be the case with the villains. It differs from Fantasy and Bizarro in that it otherwise adheres to everyday reality.

How does this spin sound?
