Genre Discussion: Sequels
The return of the genre discussion after a whole week long hiatus (aka...around Friday I realized Wednesday had come and gone without fanfare and decided to just wait until this week to post a new topic).

I should think of a new name for these, since I'm covering more than just genre's, but a sequel is almost a genre unto itself. So says I.

Anyway - Some questions to think about. Are you a fan of sequels or not? Are they a way for you to learn more about your favorite characters, or just a writer's cheap attempt to make money off rehashed ideas? Do you start seeing them for your own work before you even start a story? Are you inspired to write them somewhere further down the line? Do you prefer stand-alone books for yourself and anything you read?
