What kind of exception are you looking for? As has already been said, I think the rules as they stand are very generous. In order to be considered for a prize, you have to post a response for every entry. The responses have to be at least 15 words long. If you are late but still publish a response, you are not eligible for a prize that day, but you are still eligible for the prize at the end. If you skip three days in a row, you are disqualified from any prize.
If you're disqualified, you can still use the pictures as a writing exercise. There has to be some place where the line is drawn.
Leger is doing a lot these two weeks--every day she updates the contestant table, reads all the entries, and judges them--something that is really hard to do. I mean, you guys are good . . . I wouldn't want to have to be the one picking the best of what has been posted. These rules are for her sanity.
