I'm not sure I understand. Is it like your mind is "foggy?" Medications can do this. I have taken some medications where I would be confused if I tried to do certain things. They were so debilitating I had to get off of them. Also, is there something specific you are writing about? If so, try writing about something completely different and unrelated to you or anybody you know and see if the "feeling" is still there. If the feeling is gone on the new piece, it could be something like PTSD.
