Stale Cheese


It smelled like stale cheese,
But arrived by Fed Express
Aroma of stink

Permeates my barn
How can I write a thank you
With watering eyes?

Can I throw it out?
And wait for the trash pick-up
Or rewrap, regift?

A little garlic
Sprinkled on a red ribbon
Masks reeking odors

I'll gift my neighbor
Sniveling litter master
Grateful smelly wretch
