What Makes Me a Foreigner to My Own Writing
by A Non-Existent User
Recently, I have come to a conclusion. I am a foreigner to my own writing. I say this because I don't make the time to get to know what I am writing about most of the time. I have a tendency of writing from my life experience, which gives a one-sided view of the subject I am writing about. There is more to writing than my life experience, and there are sources that I can exploit to make my writing more concrete. I especially need to remember this when I am in the researching stage of writing. A lot of the things I write about I never bother to research because I am too accustomed to depending on my best judgment and clear thinking. Any comments?
