No if you did it correctly it will show the ML your wishing to put in. Like your message here isn't showing the { } That's because to show ML as ML you have to use a double bracket.
Previewing the post should show it to you like everyone else will see it. If the link doesn't show up double check everything to make sure you have no spaces. A space will blow the link up in a heartbeat.
