The tricky thing about when folks dropped is that they didn't say they weren't participating. One informed me that they'd gotten busy and missed the deadline by accident; another, I haven't heard from. So, by the time I knew, it was too late for anyone to come up with another entry, and there's always multiple people to consider bringing back.
Any ideas on how to deal with that? All I can think of is pre-assigned "if this person leaves, we'll consider your entry" spots, but that still seems a bit unfair and messy.
I agree on the reminders though, and that should help. Thanks!
