Free to Write

Give me your sleep, your mind, your creativity. We'll work together, polish them for months and years until when words come out of your fingers, they gleam. Give me your time and we'll fill it with workshops and lecture, with mandatory volunteering at booths to shill for the creative writing club, and of course, the reading of the slush pile. Give me your energy. Yes, we know you need it, but if you come here, you can't have it anymore because if you do, you'll have an unfair advantage over all your fellow classmates who work on alcohol and lack of sleep. Give me your health. You're going to lose it anyway. We don't care. All that matters in the words.
