Instead of doing something and identifying who you are by what you do, isn’t it better to concentrate on being who you really are?
Every single task we do out of greed or personal gain for fame or accolades we receive do not define who we are, but the way we do those tasks and receive those accolades does. If, while we are doing those tasks, we do them out of love, permeate them with the best essence of our being, and receive the accolades in a humble way, then those actions can define who we are.
When we discover who we really are, we usually find many things to be of false value and see that what we do or what we own is secondary, and we find out that the quality of who we are is what matters.
