1. Log that earthquake experience away in your snippet journal for a future story. That's gotta have some sort of inspirational quality.
2. Even if you don't finish, hello??, you've already written 40,000 words. I don't know if you realize this, but that's a lot of words.
3. You can do it!! If you've already decided failure is inevitable, it is. But if you have a nugget of hope in you, latch onto it, refocus your determination, and crank that puppy out! You still have time. I've written 10k words in a single day three or four times this NaNo, and I've never done anything like that before. Not ever, nothing even close to that, and yet I've done it three or four times this month! I have renewed faith that it's possible if you're engaged in your story and determined to do it. Shut the door, plug in Pandora, turn off your phone, and WRITE.
