When I first tried my hands at writing a couple of years ago, I had no clue to what I was doing and ended up quiting because my writing sucked and I didn't improve at all.
Luckily, I began writing again about a year ago this time with a more systematic and serious approach. I looked for advice online, read Steven King's On Writing, and watched Brandon Sanderson's lectures from BYU on youtube (the latter was especially helpful).
So my question is this: What resources did you use when you first started writing, and do you still use writing resources (workshops, books on writing, seeking advice online, etc.) to improve your skills, or do you fell that you've gotten to a point where all you need is more experience in writing and rewriting?
