I thought you asked: So my question is this: What resources did you use when you first started writing, and do you still use writing resources (workshops, books on writing, seeking advice online, etc.) to improve your skills, or do you fell that you've gotten to a point where all you need is more experience in writing and rewriting?
I took the opportunity of a later post to address the first. I think reviewing critically and as carefully and honestly as I could has made the most positive impact on my writing. My point is that you first read.... and then WRITE a review. Like everyone says. And you can do it here.
Be careful though. Many people are very thin skinned and others are cranky.
