You mean where the assignment says 'Add the introduction to your character database (if applicable.)'? I presume this means that some programs (there are specific computer programs designed for novel writing) have a character database that you can store this information in. If you're doing it by hand, I figure it's a matter of putting the applicable sheets of paper into the applicable folder. . I'll check with Brandiwynš¶ if there's anything else to it, but I think that's all that's meant by that.
