So??? Lets see.

I would start with writing out reasons for each conflict and be careful of contradictions. Example: You said they have been dating for three years, but she doesn't want him at the hospital? Three years is a significant amount of time and if she had been dating him seriously then I can only imagine that she would want him there unless they had recently had a fight.

Why is she depressed?
Why is she in the hospital?
Why doesn't she want Laffiam around?
If he insists on staying how does she feel about it?
What does he have to do to gain her trust?
If after three years of dating they aren't close, why not?

I think if you answer the questions of conflict you will find the resolutions.
