Just happened on this co-authored book by Stephen King and Richard Chizmar at the library, and read it in one day.
Mainly it's about what the title suggests: a 12 year old girl is given a mysterious box with buttons on it by a mysterious man. The buttons are all different colors, and Gwendy is told that if she pushes certain ones that unimaginable things might happen. She has to keep the box a secret. Other than that, I can't go into any more detail without spoiling it.
It's only 164 pages, and it's about as mild a horror as you can imagine.
Still, it's pretty good, and I highly suggest it!
