I think this question presents a way around the limitations of the earlier question about who you would replace but without the aid of a memory band: If you were to go back to middle school it wouldn't matter so much that you didn't know the minutae of being a girl (or boy), or that you weren't particularly skilled at sports - you'd be too young to be expected to know these things.

Though there would still be a problem about who would support you if you suddenly decided to be 12 again...

The idea of so completely a fresh start does appeal to me though. I'd be tempted to be an amnesiac pretty little blonde orphan - I suspect pretty little blonde girls go to the front of the queue when it comes to fostering and adoption and I could always use other masks to push the issue there. So I'd probably start off with Imogen Churchman as a base and find a few similar types, though there are very few such characters in BoM/TWS...
