Re: questions of faith.

1. I do think religion is responsible for many wars. Take a look at the Crusades. European Christians, during the 11th and 14th centuries fought to recover the Holy Lands from the Muslims. After years of fighting they finally succeeded, but it only helped to worsen their religious differences. Take a look at Hitler and the Nazis too. There is another religious war.

2. Though those in the government have been somewhat reluctant to call this a religious war, the war on terrorism is about religion. Afghanistan's Taliban regime is fanatically religious. Bin Ladin's messages always have in them religious arguments. It's not only one religion fighting the other this time though. What was done was against all religions in the U.S.

3. I really can't answer your third question as I don't have much knowledge on this subject. In my own opinion, I think no religion is worth suffering for. Why would an "all mighty" God create these problems anyway? So He can sit back and watch?

4. I guess you could say that money is the new religion. It basically is the factor it all comes down to when making many decisions.
