Night sweats? Don't get me started. They are definitely a part of menopause. In the beginning, I woke up a couple of times and thought I'd had an accident int he bed before I realized what was going on. Personally, I sleep with one of those little fans on my bedside table -- sometimes it helps. I also have something called a "cool collar". You can buy them via the internet -- I got mine at the local mall. They are cotton "tubes" filled with polymer crystals (like for crafting and gardening). You soak them in water and they are cool. I have many buddies that are in the Middle East right now and I make these and them over there (it's a different idea and they seem to love them). You can also order pre-made ones from companies on the internet, but I can't seem to find the links right now. I've also found that Vitamin E capsules help with the hot flashes -- but check with your doctor. I've gone so far as to ask my husband to sleep on the sofa on occasion. If there's a night when I can feel the heat radiating from him on the other side of the bed --- one of us has GOT to go. I can empathize with you and I'd like to tell you that it gets better and it will pass, but. . . . . . it may take several years. You just gotta find the best way to deal with it I suppose.
