Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Thieves and scoundrels
Boy! I felt really terrible when I discovered an agency in Texas that had said my children's picture book was great and they wanted to be my agent! Then I went to the preditors and editor web and discovered how may people this agency had ripped off. The only thing that saved me from a big mistake was all the advice gleaned from this sight and another group I belong to and the message was the same: "No, no, no, never pay up front fees for agencies to edit your work."

After checking out the agency, I was disappointed and felt like my work must be bad for someone to try and take advantage of me. My husband just said, "look, it's a good piece of work, it will sell when you connect with the right publisher. Don't let a crook prevent you from becoming a published author."

So I continue to write novels, children's books and stories, and one of these days I'll connect with the right editor, agency or publisher!

All visitors to my port are appreciated and welcome. Please leave a review.
