I completely understand the dilemma. While my pain is different from fibro, My levels can drastically change throughout the day; feeling great, horrible, just plain blah, to great again. Also, inactivity is a key for decreasing pain(which never completely goes away). When I don't do things, I feel fine. but then, after sweeping, mopping the floor and cleaning the bird cages, I am in deep pain again. My pain isn't visible. I too, try to convince myself I'm normal but run into the same blocks you have.
It's hard to explain to someone you can't open a heavy door when you just said you were feeling fine, bu knowing when you reach out to pull it open, the weight of the door will cause tremendous pain on your nerves.
