You Lazy Bum

The window was opened as was the norm
Mary and Tom were fighting true to form

Over and over she told him to get off his rear
She was so loud she caught her neighbor’s ear

The words came echoing back to her like a smack
The Mockingbird sounded like an old record track

Get up you lazy bum
Get up you lazy bum
Get up you lazy bum
Get up you lazy bum
Get up you lazy bum
Get up you lazy bum
Get up you lazy bum
Etc.

Who would have thought this would go on and on?
The bird was becoming more irritating than Tom

That old movie is the answer Mary proclaimed
She brought forth a problem solver and took aim
