My mom and I went on a huge shopping day to Joann's where I finally convinced her to show me where the knotting cords were I agonized over which colors to buy (3 max, she said) so I bought 2 yards each of red, yellow and blue. Turns out the red and blue weren't the right type of string! Since I still had leftover cord from my various knotting experiments at summer school, I made a bracelet. I think they call it "macrame" here in the US. I know it as 中国结, or Chinese knotting.
