Editing A Rough Draft
This is probably something I knew least about and had the least appreciation for when I got started.
I had this view that publishers dont care about editing when they are reviewing submissions. I had no idea of the importance of content and copy editing before submission.

A few comments from submissions early on from honest editors, helped me see the problems with my writing. Things like, great premise and interesting characters but . . . . I finally took it serious and begain to study and work on my own editing skills. There is a sense of pride in seeing the shine come to a finished product.

I have learned to enjoy editing and see it as part of the process of writing. Cutting, finding plot holes and other aspects of content editing. Learning more each time while resolving copy edits from the publisher's editor.
