My chest became tender

At the end of the school day, as I got my things from my locker, some guy bumped into me.

It was a normal thing, it happened a lot. This time, however, it really hurt as he bumped into my chest. I couldn't check myself out there, so I could only puzzle about it on the bus ride home.

As soon as I got in the door, I went to a mirror and pulled off my shirt. My nipples were pink and puffy, and it looked like there was less hair on my chest than there used to be.

I swallowed hard. I knew that the change had begun.
