Chapter #2

Francisco Martinez 45 year old laborer

    by: The Head Swapper
Francisco Martinez was hard at work. He was finishing up the 15th yard that day. Being July in Phoenix, Arizona didn't make matters any better. Francisco was 45, short, squat, and had illegally entered the United States 10 years before. http://www.trbimg.com/img-546ab169/turbi... Francisco wasn't the smartest man, but he actually spoke English quite well. Because of his speaking skills, he worked around the Phoenix area as a landscaper.

Currently, he was working on the house of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson. They were an elderly white couple originally from Ohio and were best described as middle class. Francisco dreamed of such a lifestyle for he and his family. Francisco came to the United States mainly to provide for his family. Back in Mexico he had a wife and 5 children. After all the jobs left Mexico, Francisco had come to the United States to find work.

As Francisco worked on the bushes outside the Johnson's home, he saw Mr. and Mrs. Johnson leave the premises. As they left, Francisco continued to maintain the landscape. Francisco's friend Julio was zooming by on the lawnmower when suddenly he hit a rock that flew into the Johnson's window shattering it. Francisco heard the rock crash into the Johnson's modest home and Francisco tried to survey the situation. Francisco was actually able to crawl through the window and survey the damage caused by Julio. It turns out that the rock had flown into the Johnson's office. Francisco, looking for the rock that had caused all the damage, saw an interesting folder on top of the Johnson's desk.

Sitting on the desk was a NewLife folder with a username and password listed underneath a large heading "Random Monthly switching policy." Francisco had only heard of NewLife. A relatively new technology that had become the talk of the country. It allowed people to switch their heads onto other people's bodies across vast distances. The only Caveat was that members were expected to live out the lives of the people they swapped with so no one's lives would be ruined during the switch. Francisco remembered watching a 60 minutes special about one man with cancer who had used the policy to effectively extend his lifespan. Francisco couldn't forget the view of such a sick man's head on top of a younger man's healthy body.

Francisco, knowing the value and the incredible price of such a policy, took a picture of the username and password with his phone and picked up the rock from across the room.

........

Francisco sat in his beat up car outside of a NewLife center. He was sweating with anticipation and worried about what he should do. He had read online that once someone entered into the random policy, they would never again return to their previous body and life. If Francisco went through this it would be for the rest of his life. He would leave instructions for his body and he would then transport to a random NewLife location and onto a random body and life. He also researched and found out that the policies, once purchased, could never be revoked once activated. That meant if he used the policy, the Johnson's could not remove him from the random policy.

Francisco, after contemplating his options, got out of the car and headed into the building.

Francisco entered the building and was greeted by a cheery faced 30 year old white woman, "Hello and welcome to NewLife! Do you have a username and password?"

Francisco nodded in response, "Yeah...I have a policy."

"Great!" the woman replied, "Just head into one of the rooms to the left, enter your username and password into the monitor and then you'll be set to go. Enjoy!"

Francisco followed the woman's instructions and entered one of the rooms on the left. Inside was a large pod with a monitor that fell just in front of the pod's seat. As Francisco entered the room the pod opened. Francisco seated himself into the pod and the lid slowly closed. The monitor turned on a two blanks for a username and password appeared in front of him. As Francisco entered in the password another text box appeared that read "UPON HITTING ENTER YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STOP THE PROCESS. DO YOU APPROVE?"

Francisco hit the yes button and waited for the procedure to take place. The monitor began to process the username and password and another string of text appeared, "THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING NEWLIFE MRS. JOHNSON. INSTITUTING RANDOM FEMALE POLICY."

"Female!" Francisco screamed. "NO! NO! NO!." Francisco struggled to stop the procedure, but he felt clamps wrap around his head preventing any movement. Francisco's body continued to flail, but nothing was stopping the procedure. Before Francisco could utter another word, he was injected with a substance that made him pass out.

Just as soon as Francisco lost consciousness, he was jolted awake. As the clamps around his head retracted, he looked down to see the body of
