As that question was constantly repeated in his head and he stood up, since it was the only obvious option he had, Subaru noticed a strange book with a white cover. It rested solemnly on the elegant table that he nearly collapsed as he fell, completely free of dust and accompanied only by a solitary cup of tea.
What really penetrated Subaru's nerves was that, as he brought his pale hand towards it, the book suddenly opened and showed an infinity of blank pages that were resting one on the other until finishing right in the middle of the book.
“…And what the hell is this? Tom Riddle's diary?"
Subaru teased himself and his situation to relax, but he really did have a certain fear for the book. It reeked like a trap and had as its only virtue an indescribable enigma, and relapsed into a powerful nonsense. But it was probably all he had.
He subconsciously had already guessed that he would never get to the end of those green meadows: said solution would be too simple, easy and coherent to belong to the situation in which he was locked.
As a result, Subaru ended up focusing his gaze on the pacific white ocean that rested on the pages of the book. And as he did so, an unimaginable torrent of information overwhelmed his senses and made him lose consciousness.
