Family is sucked into an RPG world

This is an interactive story. Each chapter tells part of the story and often ends with multiple choices. Make a choice and move to the next chapter in your story. When you reach a chapter that hasn't been written yet, don't be shy... make an addition!
The creator of this Interactive Story provides this information and guidance:
Your family of four finds a package at the door, which has a strange console and board game. It's game night, something that hasn't been done in a while. Yet the moment it begins, all are transported into an RGP-like world and can only leave after completing fifty quests.

Now when there they enter this RPG world they become characters yet there still themselves, there are no personality changes. Think Jumanji. You must give them a brief summary in this order.

(Insert name)
(Character title) e.g Brabarine of the north, swamp sneezing wizard, fang-faced friendly giant.
(Short summary)
(Powers) This can be anything from super strength to jetpack to linguistics to enhanced dexterity or endurance. Less than five.

After becoming there characters each one starts alone and walks to the meeting place to start the adventures

When a quest is completed, the characters are given three options for an upgrade yet can only choose one.

You can do a swap later in the game where the characters can become new ones, but they start at base and only do this at a swap post which will only be available after the second quest is completed, I will delete any before then.

Misadventures between quests are encouraged, remember it is not the destination but the journey.

I allow: Mild erotic but no graphic sex or visual sex. Violence in a battle scene yet no gore.
Do not allow: Philophile or Vore.
