 Welcome to the Noticing Newbies Newsletter!
Our goal is to showcase some of our newest Writing.Com Authors and their items. From poetry and stories to creative polls and interactives, we'll bring you a wide variety of items to enjoy. We will also feature "how to" advice and items that will help to jump start the creation process on Writing.com
We hope all members of the site will take the time to read, rate, review and welcome our new authors. By introducing ourselves, reviewing items and reaching out, we will not only make them feel at home within our community, we just might make new friends!

 Exploring Some Features
I thought I would use this newsletter to just mention a few features of Writing.com that you may not use very often, or have forgotten about. I know because the same is true for me. With so much to do, read and experience, it's quite easy to miss some of the lovely tools available.
Testimonials
You will find a link for this right up near the top of your page, below F.A.Q./Support and above Contact Us. In compiling this newsletter, I browsed through some of the comments and I felt warmed by the many expressions of people who have found this site a boost for their writing. Why not go and add your own testimonial (there's a link to do so at the top of that page), or just read some of the wonderful words. Testimonials appear randomly on the start-up page and the left hand column.
Birthdays
This is the first option in the Member Tools pull-down menu. Want to see who is coming up to an account birthday? Want to surprise someone with a gift? The anniversaries of people's joining date is listed for the current month with links beside the person to send them an email or view their wishlist (from where you can grant that wish).
Wish List
You can find your Wish List one of two ways. Either in the drop-down menu Gift Point Tools or from your My Portfolio page. Within this you can add a wish for Writing.com products such as paid memberships, t-shirts, a tote and more. They can be prioritised according to your preference and notes can be added.
Angel Resources
Also located under the Gift Point Tools drop-down menu, is Angel Resources. Whether you want to be an Angel or need the help of an Angel, this is a good place to start. It includes links to help forums, forums in which to thank Angels, ways you can be an Angel (such as reading Newbies) and more. Do pay it a visit if you haven't already.

Another wonderful Newbie Newsletter. I am always pleased by what I learn (yes, even me). As you can see, I am getting caught up here. When I do, I won't know what to do with myself.
