Gearing Up For Holidays

NaNoWriMo is gearing up and off to the races! I wish the best to those attempting to win the challenge and I know many of you will write something fantastic in the next month.

While it's a huge activity on the site, there are plenty of other things to do if you're not attempting a novel. This is a great opportunity for those who want to write something shorter, or try something new. If you've been a little intimidated by the regulars of a contest you've been participating in, perhaps now is the time to put extra effort into your submission since some of them might be too busy to enter. Don't forget November's site contest "Journey Through Genres: Official Contest!

Now it's time to mention something else looming on the horizon. WDC's winter holiday season! In the U.S. it's only three weeks until Thanksgiving, seven weeks until the Winter Solstice, eight weeks until the first day of Hanukkah and Christmas. Then comes the New Year and resolutions time. So if you're planning an activity in the coming months, or plan to enter some contests, get your inspiration notepad out and start jotting down some ideas. Along with that, planning some writing time during the busy holidays is crucial. We all get busy and neglect ourselves and our creative outlets.

So as always, Novel On and Write On!

Last month's question: What are your ideas for trinket uses? No replies so I'll repeat it for this month's question.
