Donovan and Larki

Okay, this folder holds all my stories involving Larki, a small woman of 23 with light eyes and even lighter hair, and Donovan, the crazy Scotsman she's infatuated (in love? who knows!) with. They're mostly short stories for the time being, but who knows. I might write a longer story someday...

For now, I shall give you the longer, more in-detail profiles of both characters.

Skyelark, aka Larki for short - A name given to this southern girl, born on a farm, from a mother who loved to sing. She was considered very plain looking at birth, so they altered the name of a plains songbird to fit their daughter who would become so much more than what they imagined. What they originally thought was blonde hair changed as she grew, to a shimmering platinum silver with a natural bounce. Her skin never tanned, like the rest of her siblings, despite all the sun she got on that farm. Her eyes are a clear, crystalline blue, giving her an almost angelic appearance. She stands a quaint 5'4", slim in the waist, but they've said before that dynamite comes in small packages... Her mother died shortly after she was born, and she inherited a large sum of money as the oldest child. She turned 18 and left the farm, heading for New York to stay, as far away from the backwards land she had grown up in. Larki would not become like her mother and all those before her, a woman simply for cooking, cleaning, and child-rearing. She wanted to live, she wanted to dance, she wanted to experience life at it's fullest. Her father died shortly after she left, and she returned to claim her inheritence, yet more money. The money from her mother's death had been invested, and she had grown quite wealthy since then. With her money, she splurged on herself, buying and restoring a 1968 Chevy Camaro. Oh, the love she has for that car! She was 23 when she met Donovan, and then her life changed forever....
