A pain that numbs you.
Today it felt like I had died
And heaven had shut it's doors.
These type of tragic endings leave a
Bleeding gaping hole.
Today it saw the art in death
It was a killing, done so slow -
I had far too many questions yet...
So much I craved to know.
Today asphyxiation played its part
And I can't remember where,
You promised the future would soon be here
But I know I'll meet you there

Just one day ago, I saw the shadows
Traced upon the wall.
And I saw the future in that darkness.
And I knew I don't belong.
And the pain came back like that injection -
Analgesic and quite sharp
And I know that tears can heal all wounds
But they will break a broken heart.

This could be analgesic or
This could be a type of pain
That speculation only satisfies
And that I'll never feel again.
